**** Official Fallout 76 Thread ****

Looks I'll hit rank 150 this week. Likely from the Tuesday weekly reset. Am rank 146 right now.

Looking forward to this season being over.
Nicely done, think I’m 158 or so…..I boosted the last couple of Tuesdays.

Utterly bored with this season, I’m not seeing much coming up that grabs me either. My fo1st runs out in October and I’m not convinced about keeping it, I probably will but maybe take a mini break…..again.

I still enjoy it, it has just gotten too samey.

Well holy crap! I got 2 glowing masks in a row!

One is a good looking one, one really isn't....

Glowing Corn Cob and Glowing Sun. The corn cob is horrific, the sun is pretty cool.

Both of those go for a fair few leaders on the market in discord, couple of thousand each at a guess.
Older masks drop each season so if you are selling sooner is always better, tbh I got quite into the trading part for a while, that kind of kept me going for a fair bit.

Not going to sell them. Other than an Glowing Alien, they're the only ones I've got.
Last couple of days have got me past Rank 150. Now 156.

With the mini season they've released, they are desperate to get fishing to be a thing in Fo76. Just don't see a point in it at all.

I’ve done a LOT of fishing mainly to catch the 3 rare ones and do the daily thingy but I find it so boring.
I only have old glowing masks but I have most of those, almost all from trading as I’ve only ever had 1 from the actual event.

Done all the fishing challenges ages ago:

1: Grind until you have the MK4 Rod its essential for catching the 3 local legends. Simple bait is fine also just takes much longer
2: Superb bait ONLY use when your in the right location & you have the weather machine required (consult a guide on Steam for which type you need).

They are really simple with the right bait & right location(s) its all so easy (yep its designed around pay to win - Superb Bait!).

Mini season is also so easy and you get some Superb Bait as a reward!

Been spending a lot of time today playing around with my new purchases (Corvega bundle & the new self contained house they put up on Tuesday). Both are superb shame its 2100 Atoms though!

Its technically impressive considering how old the game engine is.

For sure x 16 the detail level of Fallout 4 is accurate. You get a large ingame streaming world which in the right lighting can look good enough most of the time (I think they need to revisit the lighting at night and when it gets to early morning as its a bit dull but the other lighting with the sun is not too bad at all).

The only things which let it down a little are the endless grind & the way so many aspects are different to Fallout 4 you have to learn plans & build & repair a lot of the time.

Give it time it grows on you for sure I just wish Bethesda would drop the forced MMO aspects & make it more of a focused solo experience.

Is there a campaign you can actually complete like the standalone games or is it endless grinds to level up weapons etc?
Tons of campaign content the endless grinds are if you want to go way deeper you can solo the lot that will take you 100s of hours then lose yourself in the C.A.M.P building aspects!

A shortcut is to ask one of us to drop you a full set of gear when your level 50. Will set you on your way and defo join public events at 25. You get legendary items for completion and they will always help.

I've invested a lot of time in this game in particular camp building, it's been a couple of years and I have the itch to play again as Dune just isn't doing it for me. Have the graphics been given an overhaul at all recently?

Nope same gfx since launch nothing really ever changed......the new weather lighting gives some new effects like radiation storms. rain storms etc etc but basic gfx are the same since 2018! No fancy shaders or RT FX at all (should be though by now!).

That's a shame, I always felt they needed some work, atmospherics were always fab so be interested to check out the new weather lighting.

Mostly grinding but it's also part of the storyline....I'm sure that there was a story in there somewhere. Every 3 months you get a new season which often adds a little story/questline and a new scoreboard with items to collect.

I've been playing for a couple of years so not as long as a few around here, I think I'm around lvl 1500 now so I have put a few hours in, if you need any gear or general junk please just ask, same goes for anyone on here......I'll try to keep my clothes on (old joke now).
