Do any of you guys play the ultimate team WITHOUT using real life money?


I'm just finding it really hard, having to keep buying contracts etc and having no money to improve my squad :(

I've got loads of bronze players but nobody buys them.

If i had a team of bronze players i would put them all up for trade at 150 each then the money from those trades i would buy a 1 or 2 gold players that you find for under 1k that will sell for maybe 1.5k then build from there.

I haven't spent much at all I tend to just play the trading game.
 
I would say spend £8.50 on 1000 Microsoft points and buy some packs with that, then work your way up. After you have opened all your packs you can see what you've got to work with. It's what I've just done this very second and I've got Fabregas in my first pack of the day. :D :D :D

I have no idea how much he goes for, but if you did want to make an offer on him then I'm listening. :)

I'm just watching the first page of his auctions expiring. Only one has sold, for 43,000, the others all priced between 50 and 60,000 expired without any bids. Has the market crashed or something? Nobody seems to be buying the expensive players, or do they just get bought in the early hours?

Will prob pass for now actually mate, chuck him up at 40k start for 3 hours and he will be finishing around Saturday primetime, not had a Saturday sale fail in a long time, and 2 weeks ago I cleared out 150+ people on the Saturday!

I've decided to keep him now. :)

I had 12,000 coins from discarding a few of the crap things and from making a few sales from my trade pile, I ended up spending the 12k on:

Fabianski
Koscielny
Vermaelen
Clichy
Gibbs
Song
Diaby
Denilson
Arshavin
Chamakh

Just waiting for the other 30 cards to sell in my trade pile and then I have another 20 or so that can go too. I need:

Rosicky
Djourou
Sagna
RVP
Wilshere
Squillaci
Gibbs
Bendtner
Eboue

Oh and I need a 4-5-1 Arsene Wenger to complete things. Walnut is in my trade pile starting at 5.5 with an 8k buyout so I hope that he doesn't go because I now need him for my team. I wouldn't mind an Arsenal Vela if anybody has one.
