Just thought of another - IF Kenwyne Jones? He's a beast, I've played against him a few times and he's a nightmare to handle, quite similar to Drogba in that he's pretty quick and very strong. Could be well worth considering.

LOL, you've convinced me! I just found him on a 60k BIN which is far cheaper than all the others (which were around 70k), so even if I don't think he's worth the money over Dani Alves (who I'll keep for now) I can always sell him and get my money back. In my correct 4-1-2-1-2 formation too :)
 
Killswitch I highly recommend Dzeko. I use him a lot and he is good.

EDIT: didnt see you went for him until now. yeah hes like that for me, plays as a lone striker as well with RVP behind him!
 
Just thought, now I've bought Maicon I might keep Dani Alves and stick him in my La Liga backup team. They don't have a good free kick taker (Ozil is best with 77 accuracy), so he could definitely be useful there. I'll have to wait a while longer to get Robben, but it'll make using my reserves more enjoyable I think.
 
I have almost a full spanish bronze peeps, think i got 80ish chemistry. I have just been doing the beginner tournament which is max silver players, but man, it seems it takes forever to make coins!

EDIT: Is the best route to take, try and slowly start switching my bronze for silvers, so I can enter better tournys?

It'll be quicker when you get a decent gold team that you can win games with. I tend not to play tournaments any more, only single online matches, and with an online match multiplier of 1.25, plus a DNF multiplier of 1.25, I can make anywhere up to 950 coins with a single win (and I tend to win most of my matches). I can make a few thousands coins an hour easily by just playing online matches instead of tournaments.
 
Ewaf, most people here have sunk MSP into the game by the point you're at ;)

If, contractually, you can afford to move up slowly, go for it!

edit : ahh microsoft points. Well I'm on PS3, but I bought a gold pack for 79p and then just have some random gold players sitting around. You saying people just sort of buy gold packs to get straight to that level>?

Yep. Obviously you can sell the players you don't want for more coins, to buy more gold players :)
