as soon as i seen dzeko get a hat trick, i thought of ultimate team lol and his IF card.

it unfortunately though has came at the wrong time. this is the team i would use him in if i had the coins, if your rich enough you could swap out some for IF diarra, IF Nasri, IF Silva, IF Abidal, IF Maicon or IF Alves .

IF Dzeko --- IF Henry

Anelka ----- UP Nasri

Diarra --- IF Ramires

Abidal -- UP Mexes -- UP Silva -- Maicon

IF Buffon

i used to have the above team apart from Maicon and IF Buffon were in my first team so they were replaced by Alves and Cesar, aslo IF mexes instead of UP Mexes (same card anyway), and obviously normal dzeko.

the above team was amazing, SOLID defence (maicon and silva tend to run forward though when not needed so use custom tactics), Pitbull CDM's, Anelka the finesse shot and long shot master, Nasri the amazing crosser to Dzeko's head, IF Henry can run, cross, pass, shoot, do everything in fact apart from score one on ones (he prefers to use his weak foot for some reason when in a one on one situation and fluffs them), his pace and passing make up for that though.

It's weird. I can play online normally, but I can't seem to join an xbox party with my mate, or play-a-friend. I know there were some terms/conditions update last night, and since then the trouble started. Odd.
 
Hmmm not liking Torres atm - just isnt that great on the ball - not compared to TOTY Bent. Finding TOTY Bent and Dzeko a very good partnership with Gerrard behind linking them up.

Not tried Fabregas or VDV at CF - actually gonna sell them instead (just not a fan of slower players, especially if they are short too!) - Gerrards doing awesome and Ive got VP and TOTY Adam for backup.

Look forward to an IF Dzeko, though for the price I assume hell go for (200k+) I might get Drogba instead - thoughts?

Ta for the SIF NZgobia recommendation, seems to play far more down the wing than Bale...

EDIT: Forgot to ask - whats the best BPL defence? So used to my old team where I had the Brazil back 4 - made defending too easy sometimes :p

TOTY Baines - TOTY Smalling - SIF Cahill - Richards

Probably would consider SIF Samba, no way could I afford TOTY Kompany though, perhaps IF Kompany (SIF Samba > IF Kompany?). Think Smallings my weak link currently. Shame theres not a decent RB replacement for Richards still!

just play ashley cole and evra as your full backs

either one at RB will do a good job with the other at LB.

the same reason why a lot of brazil teams have both Alves and Maicon in them, with either of them at LB, tven though they are both RB's.

TOTY Cole SIF Samba TOTY Kompany TOTY Sagna

Budget version would be:

Evra SIF Cahill IF Kompany TOTY Kelly

Kelly has similar attributes to Richards but can actually dribble and pass. :o

TOTY Kelly or Evra for RB hmmm - happy with TOTY Baines due to his FK stats. Not a fan of Evra, dont know why...

evra may be small but what he lacks in height he makes up for in pace, strength and tackling, i would go as far as saying its 50/50 over him and abidal for best budget french LB

he is useless for headers though, only weak point to his game imo. therefore thats why i choose abidal over him in french teams, i prefer height as you already know.

ive actually not played fifa since the last gane i played in that tournament, been playing zombies on black ops now and again, such a brilliant game, also new maps are pretty good and refreshing change.

i wish fifa added some arcade type games or fun multiplayer games into it, like penalty challenge, or free kick challenge or crossbar challenge, would be pretty simple to do and quite fun especially with leaderboards and online play.

imagine a free kick challenge type game where you each take a free kick from varying distances and at the end whoever scored the most wins, say like 10 free kicks each, if its a draw you go to sudden death.

or crossbar challenge or skill challenge, would certainly add some fun into the game.

but their focus seems to be on realism rather than fun.
 
I've been playing 3-4-1-2 and I'm quite liking it actually. Obviously defending is much more of a challenge although as long as I have pacey defenders on the left and right and keep a taller/more solid defender in the middle, it's not so bad. But I have to be careful, and I suppose it's making me learn how to defend better, lol.

I have:

SIF Neuer
Ramos Pique Pepe
Messi Iniesta Alonso Nani
Kaka
Villa SIF Soldado

Subs: SIF VdV, Silva, Ashley Young, Terry, Diarra, IF Reyes

Having only 3 defenders means I'm forced to anticipate and play off the ball a lot more, I do that anyway - that's the key to winning afaik - but having said that, Alonso and Iniesta are able to move back and cover some of the gaps, with Messi and Nani providing a little support on the wings, and then I still have midfield presence and a heavy attacking potential in Villa and Soldado.

I'm playing at only 77 chem, too, at the moment, as my players are typically 4-3-3, which I'm having great success with, and I don't want to pay to change. Lol. I can only imagine how good it'll be at 100 chem. :o

Just built a new team with 40k so as you can imagine its not great. I picked up Bayern Munich Neuer 86 for 2.5k and he is incredible. Stops EVERYTHING.

3 clean sheets in 3 games and he has been peppered by Gerrard, Ronaldo etc and he just saves everything.

Highly recommended, playing behind a prem defence affects chemistry but he is still awesome.
