would be funny if it unlocked at 11am, so you have to decide to either watch FP1 or play the game :p

*edit* or you could be really smart and listen to 5live in background while playing the game ;)

Why not do both, for the first 10 minutes at least it will just be data laps, unless its raining in Singapore then the action may start straightaway, but still should get few laps in on 2010 if it is indeed unlocked by then.
 
Bugger, I put my steam back into online mode and now can't play!

(In other news, anyone know how to watch practise when the internet thinks they are outside UK? I work in Winchester but with a big company, and bbc doesn't think I work in UK!! Frustrating!!!)

This is last game I pre order from Steam.

Everytime I pre load so I can "play the moment it unlocks"

But for whatever ever reason I have never been able to play the moment it unlocks.
 
was playing it on my laptop last night (280mGTX and I7 820)....settings on high...1680x1050, 4xMSAA and it runs at mid 30's FPS most of the time. The thing is...it very smooth with 30 or over FPS...but sticky when drops below 30. Graphics are good even just on high..but game is very hard. Especialy in the rian..cant see ****...LOL.

Please fully star out swear words.
 
I knew pre-ordering this on Steam was a bad idea. I ignored the cheapest mail order route thinking this title *might* be worth the Steam price, and the convenience would add to the longterm value.

After two days of reading disappointing comments from a few people I trust, I was -- predictably enough -- already on a bit of a downer about this. But having spent my night off work sat here occasionally checking Steam I can safely say this is going to have to be one heck of a game to cheer me up again! :->

I imagine it will be unlocked about ten minutes after I have to go to bed at lunchtime. C'es la vie. Steam sales are superb, but this is the first and last time I preorder anything from them.

A couple of camera mods have been released including a really nice and slightly wider cockpit camera. The other is the T-cam view, changing the angle to look more like actual TV coverage. Check out the post at VirtualR for details and the link.

ah, i see steam preorders are living up to my expectations,

shame how my friends list have players on the game but everyone at OcUK tech is furiously waiting for the game to unlock. :mad:


with this in mind, and the game being 'released' on the store...

does anybody know when its actually going to be made live?
 
picked up my copy from postman pat, running a q6600, 4gb, 4870 512mb and with the default/game selected graphics settings (res 1650x1048) i'm getting 26 fps at bahrain.
 
Runs like a dream on my rig, but i have a question.

I'm using the Logitech rumblepad 2 corded, but it feels as if there is a tiiiny lag between pressing a button and it actually happening.
Is this the game, a game bug or some other little devil at work?

It's looking likely it won't be released until 6pm on Steam in UK.

Appears that they updated their website with the new countdown yet didn't update the release time. They probably gained more customers with the new countdown as well! Hmph!
