Looks stunning -

I like the look of it, but have serious reservations due to the fact that 2010 only had 1 patch before they stopped supporting it. Will be waiting to see if it's bugged before commiting to buying it.

I have the same concerns. Will also be waiting to see how bugged it is and whether they get fixed.

One of the main things I don't like about this is the inability to show replays of other cars - apart from the new rules, it doesn't sound like they have added much at all. Will stick to F1 2010.

i predict 3 things.

1, PC game sales are going to tank really really bad because of how poor f1 2010 was and how it just felt like a beta test of f1 2011...
2, They will blame it all on PC piracy
3, the game will be full of as many bugs as the original or cheating AI and just as bad probably with another stupid colour filter rather than trying to match real life colours

Pretty much what I am expecting. Had they fully supported F1 2010 then I would have seriously considered this. Considering they released one patch that broke as much as they fixed, will be avoiding this one!

I seem to be one of the few who actually enjoyed F1 2010, but I'm a big F1 fan and aside from the GP4 and rFactor mods, there has not been much in the way of PC F1 titles to pick from for a long time. True, the game had a lot of problems on release but thanks to the modding community I was able to get something that is fun to race (I never play online). TrackIR helps a lot with getting the perfect in-game view too. 2011 is definitely on my buy list.

I enjoyed F1 2010 too, but F1 2011 just looks like an overpriced DLC update (that will receive next to no support).

If people speak with their wallets and not buy the same old crap that devs/publishers bang out every year then they might just change there tune and make games that are worthy of the price tag. For me F12010 was dire in gameplay and graphically.

I don't think it was THAT bad - graphically it looked very good, especially in the rain.

Agreed - the mods will merge it into this one anyway.

It worries me how little they are telling us about this game, apart from the obvious DRS/KERS/safety car type stuff. Will be waiting for user reviews before I pick it up. Won't get burnt by Codies again.

+1 to that ^^

The drivers are so careful off the start line these days. I miss the time when they had a load of spare cars, piles of tobacco money and would just dive into the first corner.

Does remind me of MP though :p

It worries me how close we are to release, yet how few details or videos they have released. This time last year we had lots of footage and info on the game. Starting to wonder about this one.

I do not expect a game to be PERFECT.

HOWEVER, when paying my £25 I do not expect a game to be positively missing features and BROKEN which F1 2010 blatantly was.

Then to release a "patch" which does **** all other than break other stuff then be told "Hey, were focusing on 2011 now" I have a right to moan, A LOT.

Codemasters can swivel on my **** if they think I am bending over to let them **** me up the *** again.

Codemasters are a "release and done" company, once they have your money, they do not give a ****.

This ios my concern. I am going to wait until F1 2011 is on sale on Steam I think - I believe F1 2010 was half price during the christmas sale on there, so will wait for that. Still having lots of fun with F1 2010 anyway - even if there are still some annoying bugs.

Quite surprised at the amount of hate towards 2010 and Codies, I thought it was fantastic but I played it on the 360 when it came out. Only just got back into PC gaming and will get 2011 on that, but been messing with 2010 on PC for the last couple of weeks with the latest patches, and haven't had any issues.

I know there were a few ****-ups in the launch code, but from memory they were fixed pretty quickly, at least on consoles.

The implementation of DRS, KERS and the safety car rules look great.

The "active track" and puddles had to be fixed manually for me - took my 6990 to run it smoothly too with allthis enabled. Still have the sector 3 times bugged out making it difficult to compare to other drivers lap times.

The more of you that get this the more tempted I will be. Will be away for the first week of release, so will give me a good chance to look at all of your feedback.

The handling and AI look much better in this release - would really like to know more about the career mode though. Visuals look better too, although not sure how that was possible.
