***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Dang. So GTA V appears to have installed itself in my root D:/Games folder instead of D:/Games/GTA5/

If I try and cut and paste all the files into the folder manually, when I run the launcher it tries to download all 60gb again.

Can anyone think of a way around this, or should I just put up with the files making a mess in the main games directory?

Good news for us AMD peeps.

My friend did this aswell, and i didn't test this but if you search your registry then you can find entries by searching for grand theft that has the paths of the game files, you will have to change them. BUT make a backup of your registry before you make any chance to be sure.

Is it possible to delete the launcher separately, reinstall it and direct it to the correct folder with the files in and see if it picks them up.

No idea if this will work though or whether it removes it all.

You could try Link Shell Extension. 1Kiwi1 hit me up with a guide on it earlier in TS3 so I could clear some space on my SSD and fool origin into thinking my game was still where it thinks it is. Pretty straight forward to do. It moves the contents onto a hard drive of your choice and creates a link for the program using the files so it frees up space without having to mess about with directory settings.

This is the guide he linked me: (Fast forward through the first part where he is playing a space game - guide starts at 1:30)
