***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I've got the retail copy coming tomorrow but now I'm seriously thinking of getting the steam version and downloading it over night. Just think it will be better to do that than wait all day for the game to be delivered and then spend ages installing from 7 DVDs!

I think at this late stage I'd suggest just holding off mate, if it had been a couple of days ago fair enough but tbh it's a matter of hours at most.

Edit - @Sliver Doh i didnt know it was already posted i didnt see a embeded vid of it and looking through for a written url was gona take awhile lol. Still im glad ppl has seen it. I cant wait till ppl use it to do some interesting vids like daily life of ... or parodys of things with good voice overs dubbed over etc. Should be cool.

Would just like to tell everyone how jealous I am as I won't get a chance to play or even own anything that can play this until the end of summer :(

Supposedly, heard that for many games over the years that the pc branch is "totally separate" and has barely anything in common with the console versions.

Meant to be based on same engine as Max Payne 3 I believe, which runs very very nicely

My GeForce experience optimised settings:

4790k @ 4.7ghz
16GB RAM @ 2400mhz 11-13-12-21 1T
780Ti @ 1200/7800mhz

Last one is water quality - Very High

Will probably aim higher than that, not sure how much it takes into account overclocks etc

His optimised settings exactly match mine and I'm running a GTX 670.

Nice! Seems pretty well specced then for a 670. Hoping it'll run pretty well on my 970 then, providing nVidia are informed about how well it runs.
