you may well find that this is a coincidental error in their server infrastructure.

Before when updates came out there was a bit of delay on the download and the occasional glitch going online especially at peak times per region, but I have only ever seen the servers go down once, and it wasn't during an update.

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt :)

Considering how long its been since I played properly I don't mind giving it an extra day if I cant get on within reasonable time tonight

EDIT: Even the launcher is hanging at the sign in so it must be properly down lol! Ah well, tomorrow it is then. Off to Skyrim I go for tonight
 
I have given up for the evening. Not sure what has occurred however it is the first time in ages that the servers have had issues. Steam stats peaked at 76k this afternoon which is double what has been of late.

Anyway, happy with the new toys, the new chopper is so quick. The custom van when modded is a lot of fun as well.

looking forward to filling my small wearhouse with stuff... Lol
 
Finally got into the game as a newbie online player and I've no idea where to start. Need to do something but can't be bothered by races etc. And that's all there seems to be, races and things alike?

The no friends thing is the final glitch. Which should be resolved soon. :)

This is cool and I like one of the new cars.

I bought the arcadia office. Time to start getting some stock :)

The weapons were put back in my inventory for heist and missions, however they had not changed in the weapon wheel from the ones I wanted to use. So did not know it had happened until I cycled my shot guns by accident.

Thanks Bag - just wanted to ditch a load of weapons so I'm in no rush to get one now

Didn't see any mention of not being able to use extra bullet proof vests via the menu during missions/heists if you are registered as a VIP (gives me unavailable during this mission error). If I retire as a VIP, do the same mission I can then use them again. I can repeat this issue 100% every time, hope they fixed this as I like being a VIP so I can spawn choppers when I need them.

I was doing some bodyguard stuff this afternoon and couldn't use armour, 'not compatible with this outfit', asked the ceo to switch style to none in his menu then I could use the armour again

Overall, I think the new update seems a lot of fun, even the action of getting your stock and selling! New cars are good minus the reaper IMO, but the same online experience remains so will definitely be playing this a lot again :) Spent 13 million by the end of it though....only bought one warehouse so will need to buy and sell a few bits and pieces to get another warehouse - the one I bought has an 111 stock limit which is good though

in regards to the glitches tonight, it seems the friends list has been restored, and the online cloud saving is resolved so all should be well for tomorrow.
 
Gamble and Radeon have been of great help last night in getting me started. I am wondering still about this: can I skip the tutorial in the midst of it? It has me doing things forever I can't be bothered with. I have another character though, that has apparently skipped it last year who's like rank 0 but can't get any missions from for example Lamar. Basically I'd like to get started playing with friends ASAP and start getting money and rank.
