***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

I didn't like GTA online, but the single player was brilliant. I might hop back on GTA online to see if and of the ipdates have made it better, not touched it since release day

I still hope for some single player DLC

GTA 5 LOW FRAPS

Am running a 1080 Strix on 1080. was running a 1440 but that had to be RMAed. not played this game in a little while and iv noticed very low frame rates on this game over the last week or two.Has anyone else experiencing this problem? was running in the high 60's. now it more like low 30's if am lucky.

I havent noticed any difference using 980tis, have you checked all the settings? Ya might have changed one by accident, some thing like framescaling or MSAA can cause a huge drop in FPS if set too high.

No issues here either. 980ti do you have frame scaling or dsr on? However if you are running a 1080 @1080 then you should be killing it fully maxed... I would not say it is the game but something else.

On patrol, sitting waiting on any lawbreakers to pass by. :D

Is this a mod??

Cops and robbers??, do you actually get to chase law breakers and take them down?

There is a whole modding community based around police and the other emergency services. Check out LSPD mods on google and you shall find. Would link but most have vids with a lot of swearing as you would expect lol

Will be firing this up for the first time in a week or so after picking it up for half price on Steam during Black Friday week. I've just took delivery of a 1060 6GB card. Just waiting on my 960 Evo now until I install.

What kind of performance can I expect from my system? Display is a 1080p 60Hz TV..

i5 4690K @ stock
16gb 2133MHz RAM
Palit Super Jetstream GTX1060 6gb
960 EVO 250gb

Bandicam is way easier to record with, fraps you cant put straight on youtube. Fraps has the higher image quality but bandicam is really fine most of the time and it shouldnt trouble any machine recording

I imagine you get 60 fps or more easily, the link says 85. I manage to play on a 4870 (circa 2008) somehow so gta is a very adaptable game in performance

Great link that pal, thanks. Looks like I'm golden. Looks like I managed to pay the least per GTAV frame by getting the 1060 6GB out of the other cards tested. Very happy.

Completed this on the 360 and PS4. Never played it online...so the question is, is this game worth getting 'again' for 20 quid just for online and probably another run at the story? :D

Or is online now dead in terms of new players coming in to play? Ive probably missed the best part of online fun?

I like online and have played it recently after uninstalling it not long after release as I found the online too buggy and lackluster but now with the updates and free roam activities I have so much fun, the only thing I dislike is not being able to destroy cars without being penalized.

So far have my CEO with 2 large warehouses, Buzzard, Hydra, Kuruma armored, Insurgent, 3 Super cars and the MC to play about with, now that the garage is available for CEO it's going to be interesting.
