***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Completed this on the 360 and PS4. Never played it online...so the question is, is this game worth getting 'again' for 20 quid just for online and probably another run at the story? :D

Or is online now dead in terms of new players coming in to play? Ive probably missed the best part of online fun?

If anything you'll get to see GTA V in its true visual glory (assuming your pc is up to it) rather than the poor excuse for graphics that the PS4 serves up. Trust me they are dreadful in comparison!

Well the new DLC is by far the most fun I have had since starting to do heists. It has finally become GTA with some A1 bonkers vehicles that are so much fun.

In a lobby and everybody is busy stealing cars and it was just insanely good fun. Nobody interfered with anybody else and the sky was full of buzzards and cargo bob's.... yep Cargo bob's... they absolutely now have a use... you can steal a car, whilst it's moving with a cargo bob... brilliant

Ill probably give it a go then. My laptop should run it OK based on what ive seen, and ill get a chance to play online, which i didnt with the console versions as i dont sub to PS Plus.

Just a confused mess atm, not sure what im doing. End up joiing some sort of mission but in the end im sat in the passenger seat just shooting a pistol randomly :D

Had one mission on a container boat, by the time i realised what they were doing... I was sat on the boat, with everyone else off with the cargo.

Im averaging about 80 frames on high settings atm, its using 2Gb of the 4Gb of card ram. Is it worth me pushign the game further? This is at 1080p.

Or am i not really missing much in terms of visuals. I mean it looks good enough to me and is really smooth, so I dont really want to keep piddling around on settings to not really see any benefit, but lose like 20 frames and make hte game lag.

Depends on if you like all the whistles n bells over frame rate. I will not accept anything less than 60fps in all area's plus I hate jaggies, so I have reduced shadow quality, post FX, long shadows etc, in favour of MSAA X4. Everything else is tweaked to keep 60. If I switch off Vsync, there are many area's where I am hitting 90-100fps, but it is in the more demanding area's where it dips to 60+. I would say if you are happy with your high fps, then no, you are not missing anything. Regardless it's an amazing looking game.

Import and export is nuts, The special vehicle mission are brilliant fun. Even lobbies seem quite peaceful for the time being.

Currently have 40 cars in my warehouse..

:D

How do you get all these fancy cars? Do you need to be a high level?

I bought some garage for 30 grand and stole some Franklin tuype motor to put in there. The main money maker for me is selling nicked cars to Lamars Benny Garage that does the mods :D

Im the poorest man in GTA V

The easiest way i get money is heists, although im sure there are missions that give higher money per hour but i get the feeling theyre pretty boring, at least with heists you can find ways of making them fun like having races and stuff on the way to the objectives.

Most of us had help leveling up though so it was easy, if you see any crew member online and you want help doing some heists just give us a shout, most will be happy to help.

There are many ways to start you cash earning. Some in session with others some you can do on your own in solo sessions.

Contact missions. These are great fun, you will be contacted by various people to complete them. After completing one, you can then continue to do them as they are shown in the lobby menu. (76 of these can be done solo)

In public session modes. These will pop up every now and again and you can take part.

Daily objective is a good way, but need to be committed, to earn money and gain a lot of RP.

Play lists, there are double RP playlists that can earn big money. Just expect to die a great deal.

Heists, these are the easiest way of making money with Pacific standard with a good 300k plus for an hours work. If you can get some friends will make it much easier. Once you are confident enough, Criminal Mastermimd, =10 million, all in order 1 million, same crew loyalty bonus 1 million.

Until you have made lots of money 2 million plus, you can start the CEO/biker/import export stuff. However will need a lot of starting capital..

Add me,(in my Sig) I am on most days and will take you through Fleeca heist to get you a Kuruma as that will make contact mission much easier to complete...

I have never completed a heist. Since starting over, I'm at level 22 and all my money is earned from racing :) I hardly ever win but it can be really fun.

I need ways to earn more though as I only have around 60k :(

Cheers all for the tips.

You are the same as me, yet ive not done any races as i dont have a decent car so will not get very far

I made a fair bit of money doing the stunt races, Idk how busy they are now tho, & this was when there was double cash/rp for them, also gained a good few levels.
