***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Back on again since July. Thought I was done after the whole ban for no reason, unbanned but no money and we are not giving you back your money back ********, however this is the DLC I always wanted. So selling my personal vehicle collection and exporting cars to try and bump up my GTA$.

Still very angry though. 107 days worth of clean play cash gone and no recourse... still had my account back at least, which is unheard of apparently.

Glad to see you back and online, I've noticed you on a few times over the log weekend for brief periods
 
Yeah, we need to get some heists or something sorted, manly to pay for this DLC LOL

The smugglers Run DLC is far from cheap. Hangers go from 1.2 to 3.5 at Fort Zancudo (gives you access to the base) I have the cheapest Zancudo and with the workshop (another 1.15 million) cost be 3.5.

Not many planes available as yet but I am sure they will be drip fed.

Missions as a solo player are challenging but done once, they will be easy. Also, you don't need to use the mission aircraft (like the bomber) you can use your own as well. Makes life much easier.

I am happy as Larry as I love flying and you can spray your hydra a different colour :D

I have not checked to see if that finished today, however over the weekend I did 3 million selling cars.

Which given my current financial status was needed.

Bonus money event from selling cars ended the moment you updated to the latest patch today. Will accept the inv shortly once I log on.
 
Sorry I missed everybody, I was doing crate missions.

I have had the best fun I think I have ever had in GTA.

The DLC is massively flawed in the payouts, expense, the fact you have to call mors mutual to get your hanger planes back, 1000 a pop, the expense... but the missions with friends are epic air and ground battles with AI. Being on the ground when your mate is carpet bombing is just nuts, turret mounted gun is excellent fun and general blowing stuff up with aircraft is magic.

This is defo not for someone who does not like flying, for me it has totally delivered.
 
Getting slightly frustrated with the unrelenting AI on the smugglers run source missions... regular people harassing me mid mission i can deal with, but the AI are bloody persistent and annoying...

I'm playing under the name of WeeSteve, i'll be back on tomorrow late afternoon/evening. I dont particularly mind what i do it would just be nice to roll with someone and add a little money to the bank balance.

I just fly away, they can't catch you and they are very poor shots. Also I only use a buzzard, savage or a hydra now, everything else is useless. For the mission to get the salvage, use a VIP buzzard, call in your APC If you have one, use that to get back to land and chopper away.

I do find it annoying that some missions enemy aircraft become unlockable with rockets. (The titan mission) I know they want you to use the sea plane with the turret but not making the choppers unlockable is very annoying. So I use my savage as the titan is so slow.

Thanks too, I have to say sorry too though haha at times I was playing terrible!

I won't be back on now until around mid to late September, I'm moving tomorrow as we're moving into a new place in 2 weeks time. In the mean time I'll be stuck at my parents for almost 2 weeks with no PC, it's going to be tough!

I've got a few questions about GTA Online. Im level 32 I think but have only ever just done random races via the quick job menu before. I haven't played in ages and noticed a ton of updates and content have been released.

1. How do I access all the various updates (import/export, ceo stuff etc)... I can't see any icons on the map relating to them, all I see is the Lemar missions from the lowriders update.

2. Whats the quickest way for me to make good money ? I have about a tenner to my name after buying a house to do the heists (which I've still not done). I know its snidey but are there are any exploits you can do to make money quick ? I simply don't have the time to grind out millions to buy a chopper or a fancy car. It seems like it's going to be an impossible grind to unlock anything decent.

Its annoying because some of my mates all have the best cars, gears etc due to hackers dropping tons of cash about on servers a year or so ago. I missed out on that and as mentioned have about a tenner.

1. to become CEO/Club President you must own either an executive office or clubhouse respectively, once you have these it opens up a lot of options to gain money, once you have either one of these properties (Maze foreclosures/Dynasty8 executive websites) you will then be able to purchase Bunker/warehouses/hangers etc.

2. There is no real golden solution for making money fast, the grind is a grind... Quickest way i found was, a combination of Gun running which can net a couple of hundred thousand a day and playing whatever event is offereing x2 RP/$ all in all a few hour solo session could in theory easily net half a million, if anyone knows a quicker way of gaining $, please enlighten me.
There are still loads of hackers and loads of people asking for cash drops, but i dont get involved.

Unfortunately to gain money legitimately at any decent rate it really is a case of you need money to make money.
They really have pushed the sharkcard angle with this game for a big cash grab.

Pretty much what Steve has said, import and export can do 300k and hour if you can get the top end cars but you will need a business. Try and get some heist mates or crew mates to help out. Contact missions are good solo and can help rank up.

GTAO has become somewhat ridiculous with regards to cost of anything. It is now completely geared up to shark cards. They may have paid for the DLC etc to be released but it is not much use when it cost $3+ million.. totally out of reach for new players....

If you Alt Tab out and then back in, does that make any difference? Also what is your card.

There used to be an issue with 30 fps but that was resolved a while ago. 40 fps is a bit odd.

Also check your settings.xml file and the refresh rate
