It's weird because I have started playing with my nephew recently and he was banned about an hour before me. Here's me thinking he's installed some mod and not come clean about it lol

I'm wracking my brains trying to think if there is anything that we have done together that could possibly have caused this. I have read that some ban waves have had a lot of bans reversed. Hoping that this is a false positive or that some sad sack has reported us for hacking or something.

Yep tunables seem likely but also had you both been playing the new race mode?

Seems like a lot of people have.

However this does seem to be the biggest **** up since June last year when I was falsely banned after gun running.

My account was returned after 24 hours but my cash was not.

So I hope you will be back on soon.

I have read other people saying the same thing. I was only at about 3.5m so not a massive issue if that's the case, but still a shame considering I've done nothing.
 
Obviously not as serius as you guys getting banned but I also got screwed over by gta online the other day.

I see a free car in the shop clicked it for free and it took 500k off me and I can't get the money back.

So if you see a free car probably best avoiding it.
 
Ahhh update week, and the eternal wait for the Scripthook update :p I still don't play online - I reckon I'd be so far behind now that it'd be pointless even trying anything.

I only started playing at Christmas time and there is some really quick money to be made doing heists it doesn't take long to catch up if you are willing to put some hours in and not waste your money.

Edit: just read some more info on all this and it seems the code that has been touted all day as anti cheat is nothing of the sort.

So not sure what will happen now.

The tunables were changed this afternoon and the line which is assumed to be the offending code has been removed. TURNON_AC_HOTRING

So I recon, like last time, your account should be returned to you over the next couple of days...

I have been keeping an eye on the forums and the reddit and have watched all the updates so far.

According to some people who use a certain mod menu to track R* anticheat it was still flagging most users as modders yesterday.
Some people have started to receive non standard "we're aware of an issue" replies instead of just "your ban is legit, shut up"

They have to realise that something is wrong, when people are reporting false bans surely they can look into the anticheat log and see "oh this file was causing it" and hopefully see that there is an issue here, because whatever they are using to detect it is flawed.

I just don't know what I can do if they don't lift the ban. The most annoying bit for me is that I have played for years and never had a ban because I don't cheat, recently I started playing with my nephew and bought shark cards. Incredibly annoying that a few days later we both get a bs ban and I've wasted my money.
 
I have been making a lot of money doing doomsday part 1.

Seems easy enough get in full lobby invite everyone until you have 4 people then smash out all 3 preps do the 3 missions.

Then do the heist on hard with just one other and pay the other guy 15% and you got ya self 650k in within couple of hours maybe less than an hour if all goes smoothly.
 
I have no idea what planet R* are currently on. Nearly all the people unbanned this afternoon have once again been banned. I had GTA friends in session who we welcomed back, be banned again whilst with us.

Yep, pretty annoyed at the moment, it's actually bugging me how much this is bothering me. I think it's because rockstar have made me feel like a stupid mug for having bought shark cards.

So as it currently stands Rockstar still seem to be unbanning people at a trickle pace, but not at the weekend so there is still hope I won't lose all of my progress.

I can imagine dude. When I was banned I was baffled and then angry and depressed. It's was not the fact that I had been banned it was that I was lumped in with all the genuine scumbags out there. I was so annoyed I sent a letter to R* North's HQ. I knew it would not do anything but it made me feel a fraction better.

However I was unbanned but the way they have handled this is truly shocking. I lost confidence in GTAO when my account was returned and this week, knowing the people who have been banned, as dropped it to the floor.
I really hope you get your account back dude as it is just so crap that they are so uncommunicative.
 
Aye the other reason it is annoying me so much is that I was really enjoying the Avenger and Akula and was putting a lot of hours in.

The only way I will be happy at the end of this is if they unban me soon and credit the shark card cash again. When I had logged in for the small period I was unbanned it was credited and I had $20m in the bank. Really want to buy the hunter while it's on offer too.

I might buy the hunter as I don't have a helicopter yet and I have just about enough cash.

I would leave the hunter for now and buy a buzzard. It can be used as a VIP vehicle can get into smaller spot and is a great deal easier to fly. I really don’t like the hunter, I much prefer the Akula.
 
I've just started to play GTA5 and unlocked Michael, Franklin and Trevor (plus quite a few smaller characters). Any suggestions on what to do to maximize income for the characters and other useful hints?
