***Official GTAV PC Thread*** [Important warning updated in the OP]

Does anyone know if putting the graphics settings on default is the most optimized settings? I have i5 4690 and gtx 970 and the fps is going all over the place. I was told leaving v-sync off would get rid of mouse lag.

turn v-sync off and drop each graphics settings by one. turn off anything that is x2 x4 x16. solid 100 fps then. I have seen it like 180 as as well. Been called a hacker now 2 times in tdm.

I ended up getting 10 fps with the optimized nivida settings >.<

Chinese ordered, will be on around 8ish, Nexus feel free to troll. I have medicated myself so no longer care :)

I have very, very little experience online in GTAV but had a small blast this afternoon with |flighty and ASH and it was quite fun. I really need to work on getting upto speed on this.

This doesn't tax my gpu at all,i have a 980 soc which gets to 84 degrees in far cry 4, this game doesn't break 60 :confused:.
getting good fps tho 120+ in city and 60+ in grass heavy areas.

I have been suffering all sorts of stuttering n general meh, However that has been sorted out this afternoon, upshot is, I have also managed to get my 980 GPU maxed out @1457

I have just upped the MSAA and it gets it there whilst looking amazing.;

Confused at all of the people saying they can run this game on high...

My current specs:

cpu: i5-2500K (3.3ghz)
8gb ram
gpu 2x6950 (4gb) total

I can barely run the game on normal settings (textures on high seems to just put it over the edge).

Am I being held back by my CPU?
