mine was in 'reliability mode', once i changed it to 'performance mode' i havnt crashed again

Started a mission, try to shoot out of car window, game instantly crashed.

Downloaded that app, changed settings to performance mode, and restarted game.

Restarted that same mission, was able to shoot out of car windows.

Played for a while no issue's, started next mission, tried to shoot out of car window and game crashed again

Is there an "Independence FM" equivalent on this?

Yeah, Self Radio. There will be a rockstar folder in your documents, then a music folder. Make a shortcut your your main music folder here.
Then in game go to settings, audio and full scan

Wouldn't suprise me. The previous GTA was a cheatfest as well and the multiplayer died off quickly because of it. There was no anti-cheat system what so ever

Put off getting this on Day 0 at least until I see how things are shaping up.

Quick question, is my rig (as per sig) going to cope with this in particular the GTX650, or do I need to think about dropping +-£100 on a new GTX 7xx?

Not sure if its the right character as I thought its Paddie McCreary or somit. I found him when I was casually driving and near me was this shopping centre or somit and had two robbers holding it up wanting me to help so I did and turned out it was one of the Irish lads from GTA 4 as he asked to be thought of if any jobs came up. Dunno where in city it was tho sry.

Thanks. Does he show up as a ? on the map or is just random when he'll be there? Certain times of day?

The way modding has to be done is weird because of the way the encrypted files are this time.

Could be a while before we see anything major.

When I were a lad, we used to d/l music from something called Napster at 4kbs if you were lucky.

Oh how I remember dancing around my room when I found songs that would max out at 4.5kbs

when you play the single player mode does it rank up your character for online?

is there a quick way to rank up?

I had to do a few things to fix micro-stuttering:

a) Drop the distance scaling
b) Installed latest drivers

That reddit info is the issue I have been having.

I have just done a mirror test that I have been using all morning to id and benchmark the issue.
I have just completed it without any frame drop, stutter or anything. solid 60 FPS. That is with my settings via the Geforce optimisation at 3.3 MB
Before these where unplayable.

I will play the game later and report back. But from that test, which has shown awful stutter, frame drops into the 10's and rubber banding.... it is a solid 60 FPS

This was by setting the priorities of GTA5.exe to High and GTAVlauncher.exe to Below normal....

Cheers for the guys that advised me on settings for my 670 2GB.

Running everything on high (FXAA/MSAA turned off), and still a rock solid 60fps unless I'm looking at the forested area on Chiliad at dawn/dusk, but thats only a few seconds until it gets sorted.

2.5GB VRAM getting used

Same here. Someone suggested going over the 2GB limit and my framerate hasn't dropped below 60.

I'm eagerly awaiting the extreme graphics mods, some of them were really good for GTA IV.

This looks insanely good even compared to the PS4 version, looks like a different game, getting a super smooth average of 52fps on my TX @ 4K Ultra (no AA).

What controller is everyone using to play this? Im getting sick of keyboard and mouse when trying to fly a helicopter, controls are awful.

I don't want to use an xbone/360 pad though. Is ps4 pad compatible?
