***Official Halo:ODST Thread***

Your latter argument makes no sense, as installing the disk to the hard drive shouldn't have anything to do with whether the MP components are all on one disc.

The only reason Halo 3 has issues is they used their own method of installing to the HDD (temporary caching that's flushed when you play another game) which clashes with the new patch for copying the games to the HDD as it tries to stream from 2 location on one HDD.

Which they don't use in ODST, so firefight load times shouldn't be slowed down.

They have stated they haven't changed the halo 3 multiplayer disk so it shouldn't be installed to hard drive.

Teki, if you troll like that again you'll get suspended.

I know =/

I get you now, but that's idiotic. It would be a simple patch to remove caching and speed up Halo 3 for HDD installs, and it's such a poor excuse for splitting up the multiplayer elements.

Yes because it is the same multi-player, it wouldn't make sense for them to split the community with just a stand alone expansion.

Plus the next game in the series is due next year.

OMG FPS + CONSOLES = FAIL!!!

Why can't they allow Xbox 360 to use a mouse and keyboard!!!!!!

I wasn't trolling thank you, i was stating my annoyance at creating great games on the xbox 360 and being limited by the prehistoric game pad while playing FPS's. I'm sorry if you cant distinguish between the 2.

Kreeeee = Man of his word

I think there is a lot of assumptions being made in this thread regarding the game. Not that I am in a position to clarify any of these assumptions as I'm trying to ensure that I know only the premise and features of the game so that is a bigger surprise to me when its released.

One thing I want to know is, is Fire-fight how Bungie are implementing the co-op campaign. Or is it only available on the MP maps.

Is there going to be a co-op campaign?

Fire fight has its own seperate maps based on New Mombasa locations from the campaign.

So far no one knows whether it has a co-op campaign, on xbox.com it says "Xbox Live Co-op" but that could just be firefight and in the number of players field it says TBD.

I've a feeling it's going to be the best Halo game so far because of the deeper characters from what I've seen, and open-ended gameplay. It really seems to me like it's a natural evolution of the series, and Reach might have a hard time topping it (even though I'm jumping to extremely high conclusions here!) if it's only going to follow the same formula as the first three Halo games.

I think the different aspect of the game with the ODSTs should hopefully make this a good change from previous Halo titles

Main thing thats going to transform the halo franchise in this game is the team play, your in a squad :D

Can't wait for this
