**OFFICIAL** I cannot access the shop/forums thread

Havent been able to get it with IE6 at work for a week, and keep getting slowdowns at home with Chrome.

Unfortunately, in my moment of weakness, the shop site worked so some money may have accidentally gone from my account :)
 
DDos attack?

Or just hosting probs?

Aint read all 13 pages so forgive me if the answer has been posted.
 
Tom's not staff though and Telescopi's post could just be the guy's saying 'shh' as in he can't say. Basically, all the mods have been too busy posting photos to actually give any proper answers :p

This is code for the server couldn't handle all the packets it was recieving and collapsed and died, a typical DDOS attack or at least one form of :p

I don't see what there is a lot to be secret about really, I just don't think anyone official from OcUK wants to give whoever is doing this any sort of official recognition as it may fuel the fire more but at least allow one central thread for people to speculate and talk about the problems they're having

Regardless it's starting to get on my **** now, my laptop can't get onto OcUK :(

Apart from a brief period on Saturday night I’ve not been able to access the shop since Thursday afternoon. I’m using IE7.
 
I would imagine the reasoning behind being able to access it with one browser and not another could be down to some sort of adaptive filtering. But then I do talk rubbish sometimes :p

It's really fairly obvious what's been going on, even if no one spells it out for commercial reasons, and hopefully (and by the looks of it) they've got it sorted now.

Believe me as an 'old timer' this thread is giving out far more information than we would have got in the old days. Now where's my ovaltine and my slippers? :p
 
I have had problems all week accessing OCuk from home using IE. From work OCuk is fine using IE.

I can access OCuk from home using the PS3 though.
 
From home and my iphone i am able to access the forums fine.

However, from work (large insurance company) i am unable to access either forum or shop at any point during the day. I guess the IP's we are using have been blocked for some reason?

Anyone able to look into?
