*** Official Infamous 2 thread ***

Just picked up Infamous 2, it's a bit of a disappointment to be honest. I'd say if you have the first one and enjoy it then just replay it. It's one of those sequels that is basically exactly the same game as before with slightly different graphics, some missteps on gameplay and a random level designer bolted on. Cole has a really really noticeable different voice too.

On the other hand, if you haven't played either and want to play one then the second is slightly better.

It sounds to me like you haven't played much of it yet.

I thought the same was really disappointed at the start, gutted in fact as it didn't seem to WOW me at all from the start but after a while, once you start to build up your powers and get more involved in the game it really starts to explode in to an excellent game.

You just need to give it more time to develop

How much have you played? I was disappointed initially but by the end my opinion had changed.

I've lit up most of the left hand side of the first island, so probably about 10 story missions and 20 odd side missions, about 6 hours gameplay I guess.

I have just ordered a ps3 with this game. Should I pick up infamous one before playing the second or just jump straight in to number 2. ?

Just found a hlaf price voucher in with my copy of infamous 2 for infamous 1.. Will have a look later and see how much this works out...

Just tried infamous 2 and it is good but my god is the PS3 loud. I'm sure my old fat was silent, this one whirs and clicks and the drive wooshes up and down. It makes my xbox seem quite... lol..

Just downloading infamous 1 it was £9.99....

Finally got around to getting this, £16 first hand so cheap as chips really. As soon as i fired it up i found myself puzzled as to why i'd waited so long, i absolutely loved the first one.

Infamous 2 is also outstanding and much better in many, many ways. My one disappointment is that there aren't as many boss fights this time around. In the original there were loads of varied bosses but in this one you just had to fight the staple big enemies until towards the very end.

I wonder if there'll be another sequel...
