*** Official Infamous 2 thread ***

The only problem I have with collecting blast shards is it distracts me from doing missions!
I'll be going to a mission and see a blast shard near it,i'll go get that and they'll be another in view and i'll go get that. Eventually I end up miles away from the actual mission marker!
 
Lets be honest: Shards > Missions when you find them...

ic1male - did you use a map to find your ones - if you did, do you have a link? Dont want it to take too long repeating it when I go through the Evil missions...

lol so true, I have found quite a few Dead drops already also.
 
I like the new poles which propel you up the side of the buildings. Saves faffing about climbing. Not too sure about this user generated content though. Those green markers will get on my nerves - I like a clean map. :D
 
Atl east you can buy "Spidey Sense" for blast shards near the end of the game. I've been playing this quite a bit this afternoon and I'm just on to the third section of the city. Must say I'm really enjoying it so far! :D

Sorry, I only just noticed your edit here. I used the maps on this page

Manually crossed off each blue dot as I went through each island. Took about 3 hours. I think I got about 300 before I found the last one so I was spared marking off the last 50. :D

Ta - having to start again and its taking me a few hours just to get the shards on the first island - gonna take longer than I expected :(

If I didn't like the first (mainly due to the aiming) thus didn't complete it can I still bother with this or do I need to know the story/like the first game?
 
The aiming is still the same in this second one. It gives you a brief summary of the story at the start though.
 
I'm loving this game, a lot =) Played around 6 hours since it landed yesterday and I'm only around 17 story mode missions in. I don't know I have been getting side tracked a lot as there is plenty to do and explore, there seems to be a lot more oppurtunity to change your karma in this one.
 
Having great fun with this, as the first spend most of the time shard hunting, doing side missions and being a good guy. Did eveyone get a Uncharted 3 beta code? Didnt pre-order mine it was behind the 50% infamous one, if i get one with my PSN+ i will donate it.
 
Well finished it with good karma just a minute ago. Really really liked this one! Suppose I'll go play Duke Nukem Forever and then do it bad! :D
 
Hmm, I'm not really feeling this. I think it's because I literally just finished Infamous and maybe playing both of them together is causing this second one to drag. I might just start skipping the side quests and just do the main story. I don't know off the top of my head whether I'll be missing any useful powers by not doing the side quests.
 
Just got the first ionic power. It's starting to get more fun. :D I love this New (Orleans) Marais place though. Much more character than Empire City.

One thing - please tell me you get back the ability to charge up your batteries whilst grinding? I miss that so much.
