***Official Intel Haswell Thread***

Wander how the FX 9000 would compare to Haswell 4770K,

TDP would compare poorly that's for sure :p.

Yeah I read that in their comments too. Funny stuff :D

Very disappointed so far. Only dual channel RAm up to 1600MHz. So my expensive 32GB 2600MHz wont work :( thats crap.

plus it cant support a 3 way Crossfire setup so i cannot connect each of my monitors to a GPU.

I am serious. Not sure if i am correct though.

Ah in that case.

Regardless of what the CPUs memory controller "supports", you can change the memory ratio to increase far past what's "supported" by intel. This has been the case for many years.
Though having said that, good luck finding an IMC that support 32Gb @ 2600MHz, that's asking a lot. Maybe 2400MHZ or 2133MHz with nice timings though.

I also see no reason why it can't support 2,3 or 4 way crossfire/SLi. There will be plenty of board coming out to give you a large range of configurations, just like there is now.

1600mhz is just the official supported speed,it doesn't account for any overclocking,it should reach 2400mhz+ easily

Where is everyone getting their Haswell CPU's from? :p
From the size of this thread and tests being mentioned I assumed lot's of people on here have somehow got them already.
I can't find any on OCUK and they're supposed to be released this weekend according to that poll.
