great i cant access Steam, stupid 27% error again and i cant think what else i can do to fix it tired everything i have read and nothing works
i NEED to access steam so that i can backup all my games - i cant redownload them

You don't mneed to access steam to back it up you can just copy the whole steam folder from program files or wherever you put it



Much much quicker, and you don't have to install steam again \o/


maybe try deleting the client.blob thing to fix the login thing?

Or just reinstall Steam. Its unlikely to be an issue with Steam and not you're computer because it sounds like a pretty weird issue.

Try running it when you're set up on your new system and see if it works. No point in trying to fix the problem now if you're formatting or buying a new PC and you never know, you might get lucky and not have to fix the problem on the new setup.

You need to be in the lobby at the start ;p add people to friends and go on the vent.

It may also help your cause if you have Vent as quite a few of us use Knubje's vent server to arrange games.

As people have said, join us in Knubje's Vent channel tends to help, but if you are on when I next start a game then I'll send you an invite.

I may be up for some Insanity Versus some time soon (friday evening possibly), speaking of which OcUK4 will cancel at the end of this pay period (3 months) as not enough people seem to be using the servers at the moment and the account is running low on funds (see donations thread, gameservers link). OcUK 3 will continue running for the forseeable future however.

For Valve time usually you add one to the smallest value that is quoted

Examples:
March 2010 = April 2010
2010 = 2011
Out tomorrow = Day after tomorrow
Out next week = Two weeks
Around 6pm tomorrow = 7pm tomorrow
Q2 = Q3
