***Official Left 4 Dead 2 Thread***

I just bought this so if there's anyone on my friends list starting a game at any time send an invite my way. For anyone that plays this regularly and are not steam friends with me then send me an add. My steamID is Hundz84.

Just played through the new stuff, very meh. There were a few decent points but nothing spectacular.

I can see the m60 being a hated weapon, I managed to find one and add a laser sight, then use explosive ammo. It laid waist to a tank in seconds.

As expected, we'll have to do some tweaking for our modded servers, yet to actually see the m60 so not sure how overpowered it really is.

explosive ammo is removed from my server anyway, instant knockback is overpowered to begin with for vs

Its hidden away in back rooms. I only had chance to use it once and its ridiculous. Not entirely sure whats it damage is like vs specials (mostly because my lag was terrible when i had it) but vs commons its a 1 hit kill. Explosive/Incendiary ammo on it is just... dumb. It comes with 1 clip or 150 bullets, thats 150 incendiary/explosive ammo ON TOP of the 150 regular bullets you get. Its a fire and forget weapon since once its out you can't restock it but its still stupid. And i thought the BC2 M60 was broken ><

I had no problems with no interaction and i didn't do anything to my addons folder.

not sure if any of the addons are working (metamod certainly isn't) but there is definitely no issues with server not starting. might just need to tweak the vdf or something
 
Ahh right. Yeah, the servers seem to be up and running. Let me know if anything else needs doing to them.

I'm massively rusty on l4d2 server admin though so I may be a bit slow on the uptake :)
 
Cheers both of you. I've updated to the latest metamod and edited the .vdf. I'll update sourcemod whenever that gets sorted.

edit: Server look like they aren't working at all now, lol.

no your right, its still knackered lol, just rename the addon folder again and its all good.
 
actually mmsource-1.8.1-hg696.zip works fine, but 697 doesn't. Both released today.

SM is still borked though lol

Ah well. I've renamed the addons folder and restarted the servers now. I'll check up again on it later when hopefully things are a bit more stable :)
