We don't have one yet and I can't believe we don't! I am very excited about this game, the gameplay looks intense, the story looks epic, the revamped combat system looks like it plays great and the graphics are up there.

Released 29th Jan '10

Can't wait for it! Anyone else?

I wish i had kept my save file from the original now, not that i can remember why i did half the things i did, it would be such a mission to play through it again lol

This is the game i am waiting for atm, ME2 had one the best Sci-Fi storeys i have played, can't wait. I too have lost the old saves amd i really cba playing the original over when i have so many other games to play atm. I like the whole thing they are doing with the continuation between the trilogy gutted i lost the save!

There's a massive debate on the official forums, talk of us not getting the steelbook cover and the collectors edition bits becoming digital downloads. No official responses yet. We'll have to wait and see closer to the time I suppose.

I'll be getting the 360 version since I played it way back when it was released and my savegame is on there. Hell I can't even play the PC version of this game because it stutters all over the shop even on a dual core rig.

I'm just happy that Tali is still in it. She's hawt!

I recently picked up the first game on Steam as I wanted to have a save game ready for the sequel (sold my boxed copy ages ago). I didn't quite realise what I was taking on because I read about the possibility of getting bonuses for taking across a high level character. So I've spent the last week going through the game (twice) OCD style in order to get my level 60 Shepherd.

Great game though, can't wait for the 29th.

I'm contemplating just using the PC cheats, playing to the end to choose my decisions but then bumping the experience points up to level 60 as I've already put in the effort in the Xbox version.

Hmm...

Just Finished My PC verson of ME1 so I Can have my savegame ready for ME2 at level 50 anyone know if it worth going higher then level 50 ?
Anyhow can't wait for ME2 looks great with all the new content

Research Tech and stuff now something to do with that metal and gas u find heheh

I wonder what they actually mean when they say it continues on from your last save.

I mean, the story and such, that would make sense - it would recognise the paths you chose and act accordingly, but I dunno if being Level 60 is actually going to make a difference?

I'm fairly sure it'll just take your storyline based decisions into the next game, not your equipment and stats (though they may do a baldur's gate style system where you start the game at a high level regardless of whether you've continued an old save or started a new one).

These are (apparently) the decisions that follow you over to Mass Effect2

MAJOR SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PLAYED ME 1 !!!!!!

The decision to save either Kaidan or Ashley.
Whether or not the player kills Wrex on Virmire.
Whether or not the player decides to save the Citadel Council
The player's choice of love interest
Whether the player spares or destroys the Rachni Queen at Peak 15
The player's treatment of Conrad Verner (The Fan at the Citadel)
Whether or not the player completed the UNC: Asari Diplomacy sidequest.
Whether the player chose to allow the Alliance to conduct experiments on Nirali Bhatia's body

Aside from this if you finished largely on the Paragon or Renegade side, you get an immidiate boost in those aspect, which can affect some early quests.
Also, the higher the level you are, the more resources/cash you get from the start to spend on research, etc.
