No improvements in FPS. I can't tell what it did.
 
4th time lucky....into the game and flying.

But the AP is completely broken. Just puts the plane into a spiral dive as soon as it's engaged....sigh

Seems like Nav mode is going the wrong way, or is completely borked. Either way it tries to stuff the plane in the ground.

Heading select, VS, Altitude hold seems to be working ok.

Active Pause seems even more twitchy with autopilot. Nearly put me in the sea a minute ago. Just hitting escape to go to the menu seems safer.
 
The active pause bugs are hilarious. There is no way they didn't know it was ****** before releasing it. I haven't moaned about any bugs on here at all yet, but that one really takes the biscuit. If you active pause on takeoff, when you unpause you are going sooooooo fast.

All you guys with AP issues - are you sure you are setting the Nav to the FMS/GPS signal rather than VOR1 or VOR2? I've used NAV mode on a lot of aircraft and its worked fine for me (Cessna 208, TBM 930, Airbus A320). I'm not a pro simmer or anything btw, this is my first flight sim and I know very little about aviation, learning as I go along! This may help you.
 
I just gave it a go with the 747 and it was flying up and down at like 50 degree pitch trying to level out, whereas it had been fine before.

Edit: fine in the a320

Flew into a few cities for the first time; mainly having a look at places I’ve been (Prague, Munich, Berlin, Venice)
Definitely slower but satisfying being able to find my way around from the air!
 
Upgraded to 32gb ram today and let me tell you it DOES 100% make a difference. Zero stutters. It makes sense as my RAM usage was sometimes way into the 20gb's when loading certain areas. During flight I routinely see 18-19gb being used.

I'm running everything at max including all sliders for terrain detail etc so don't know if that makes a difference but imo it's well worth it for this game.
 
Upped the Detail Sliders to “100” (was running 50 before” surprisingly runs pretty much the same; really loving this!
Actually managed to land a plane successfully and taxi to a gate.... first time for everything!
 
Update on steam went fine and no issues with the AP in nav mode on the TBM. Everything working as it should and butter smooth. What planes are the guys that are having AP issues flying?

No FPS improvements here, still around 40 on high. Currently testing my skills in full IFR conditions coming in to Exeter, so much cloud and obviously pitch black at this time of night. Brill!
