**** Official Microsoft Flight Simulator Thread ****

I'm getting a consistent 60+ fps sat on the runway with my 4790K & 1080ti, done nothing to the install so **** knows whats the deal there... (!)

I am however stuck with no throttle with either my joypad or M$ Force Feedback 2 since the last update, any ideas as to a fix?

Sounds like something has been deleted from the mapping in control setup; have you tried to re-map it since the update?

I was using both on my laptop yesterday, didn't try throttle on the joypad but the Sidewinder one worked fine. Double check you mapped the right throttle control and ensure that you're not in Slew Mode for some reason.

Both my Sidewinder and X-Box controller worked fine prior to the last update, since then no amount of remapping has had any effect, I’m tempted to uninstall and reinstall which seems drastic for such a trivial (but major) issue…

Think it may be my only option…. :/

3080Ti & 5800X here; running it all at Max albeit "only" at 1440p (bought a new 27" screen) - 400 LOD seems fine unless I'm on the ground somewhere like Heathrow or Charles de Gaulle; I almost wish we could set it to scale so that it was 400 above a certain altitude and 200 below it.

I was doing a flight from Northern Italy into Gatwick flying across Eastern France and could make out the lit "sprawl" of Paris at 200 LOD; when I turned it to 400 I didn't notice any hit but the detail was incredible.

On another note I managed to get hold of the Quadrant Add-on (Flaps, Brakes, Landing Gear) makes a huge difference! Bought the new "Captains" Pack which comes with all 3 bits and managed to sell my existing Stick and Quadrant so just about broke even!
 
Anyone got any tips for getting the Thrustmaster Airbus sidestick + throttle quadrant working with this sim ? About 3 patches ago they used to work fine, but now it's impossible to fly anything because of unresponsive controls, engines switching off unexpectedly etc. Such a frustrating sim .... for me it was playable at launch but has got systematically worse with each patch.

Very strange, I use the full setup without any issues at all. Have you gone over your mapping with a fine tooth comb?

I have it on the default mapping for the TCA Airbus. In the control interface all the mappings appear to work, but in-game it's unplayable. From looking online quite a few people have had similar issues with this particular joystick/throttle quadrant ... looks like there is a bug involving the engine 1 switch permanently stuck to off.

Very strange as it doesn’t happen to me.

Yep, the complete set. Both my engine switches work perfectly. Check you haven’t got any engine toggles mapped to something else, like a key on your keyboard.

That makes it as simple as a click next to a check box to enable or disable content, and depending on the manager you can even set up preset groups etc to auto select multiple items at a time - for example if you have a load of content you can load just what you need - flying in the UK today? Load your UK preset with a click and all your UK based community content will be put into the community folder instantly with symbolic links, so no transferring, renaming or moving of files or folders needed.

I have got my new pc built now and have had a play around with the sim, what content manager do you suggest that is easy to use, I have tried Googling but all I get are references to the built in one, Thanks
