anyone tried the hack which swaps bing maps for google maps?

I have and its really good imo, the detail for my street is better and more uptodate.
Roads especially are better. I use it everytime i fly now.

There have been a few topics on the official forums about removing the Google maps and returning to using the Bing ones. The un-install can be flaky.

To use bing maps again, if theres any issues just delete the hosts file from /windows/system32/drivers/etc folder before you start msfs, a new unmodified one will be automatically created (the mod alters this file).

Had an absolutely insane session on Edinburgh ground today on Vatsim!

London Controller did a stream where he was controlling Scottish and everyone followed him to EGPH and EGPF apparently!

This is from a thread on msfs forums right now, its a mod that adds 5~10 fps. It adds NIS (Nvidia IS).

Pretty cool flying a red arrow over London.

Yeah that's good, but the sc designs f16 is better.

Can be stunning, but temper your expectations of performance/image quality despite the hardware.

I bought the Hawk recently am massively impressed. I'm usually a tubeliner flyer with my VA but wanted something a little different. Set up with my hotas (Winwing Orion) am just in awe of how good it feels with a decent flight stick.

I hadn’t played MSFS in ages in favour of DCS and then since this release I’ve been loving learning ILS on the Hawk and erm what’s DCS?….!!

I only have a crappy joystick but Santa did bring a warthog Hotas it’s just still in its box!

If there are any other Hawk flyers on here your throttle will no longer be working thanks to SU7.

However if you remap it to throttle ‘1’ and remove ‘throttle’ bindings you should be good to go.

Yeah I mean is there something new about the VR implementation?

Yeah they added hand controller support which is pretty immersive as you can interact with all the controls in the cockpit. You could fly the aircraft just with the cockpit controls.
