***Official*** MM8 11th April (sponsored by the HSE)

i have removed the image from the thread, appears to be the main point of controversy strangely...it was a strange photo to take, not planned at all unlike some people have implied

Also quite funny that somebody on the fiat coupe club said basically "lol at somebody thinking a practically new 335i M-Sport Coupe is fancy"....I think by most peoples standards, especially you'dve thought by those rolling round in 10+ year old fiats, it is a fancy car....how else would you describe a 300+bhp 3l twin turbo prestige coupe? It's not quite run of the mill is it.

Typical kids on another forum judging someone by their size.

I've met Darryn at the RR Day at Powerstation and he was a genuinely nice chap. Not some idiotic chav like most Civic Type-R owners.

He made a mistake, drove too hard in wet conditions due to knowing he was being videoed at a guess.

as for taking the **** at the photo? Its funny the things we do when we injure ourselves or are embarrased. Laugh or cry springs to mind.. I'm sure laughing was the better option ;)

and as said above, Darryn has learnt from his mistake. This IMO is one of the most reputable forums on the net! the meets are well organised and the people who turn up are a sensible bunch.

Tbh everyone will take the pee out of other peoples' misfotrunes - remember the old bloke in the Range Rover when the firebrigade turned up?

I've messaged Langers on the 145 forums as he's a good friend of mine, just to clear it up so he can put people in their place if needs be. (Didn't know if the alfa owners on here would also be on that forum)

Things like this just remind me of how idiotic keyboard warriors are, and you can almost guarantee that most of the people slating Darryn have done similar (if not worse) things when driving!

Oh, and I also like how people with an interest in computers cannot possibly know anything about cars! haha

Darryn is getting at least 15 abusive e-mails every day. Somebody is circulating the video and his e-mail address and inviting people to abuse him via e-mail.

Considering none of the threads ive seen on other forums have any idea what MM8 or OcUK is (which was the only tags or descriptions on the video) the troublemaker is somebody on here spreading it about.

Shame really that we turn on our own....

Shocking, I only mentioned it as my friend had said that he had seen the video on there.

I saw that too. :\

Whats worse is the post on that saxo forum froum Leeum on here stating that Darryn was pulling dodgy overtaking moves at this years manchester meet. Bit of a bold claim from somebody who wasnt even there ... especially when it isnt true and Darryn didnt partake any of the stupid driving that some others did at that meet.

If what you say is true, then I personally apologise to Darryn - it wasn't my intention to cause any trouble. I was merely going off what I'd heard... I won't say how (I've already said, i'm not out to cause trouble).

I guess the safety of an overtake is subjective and it was wrong of me to post what I did considering I wasn't there.

whoever you heard it from heard wrong as its a crock of ****

no doubt you'll protect the person who told you because he's one of the people stirring it up.

While that video was taken of us driving up and down the moors darryn had gone home as he didnt want to invoke bad memories or jokes from last year. Darryn only drove from the restaurant to the pub to socialize and went home.
