----------Official Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Thread----------

am soo getting. have played all the NFS games from Underground, to present.
Only ones I havn't completed are pro street and shift as making it legal racing took a lot of the fun out for me.
I own them, neve completed or got anywhere with them as installed did a couple of races and left it there.

except from a tunned bugatti veyron ;)
depends on how you customise the cars, at the start of races i'm constantly being overtaken due to arranging the gears to get the highest speeds from them, not the quickest acceleration times
 
after buying NFSW i'm slightly skeptical about this, think i'll buy from a shop this time so at least it can be returned if naff, having said that, the screens do look good, and i've seen the preview videos posted everywhere so we can only hope that EA have managed to grasp some of the old magic from the old NFS series

agree'd , altho i played it exclusively on pc it was a top top game

nfs-mw2 would go down well me thinks :)

same here, bought it and played only on the pc. nfsmw at 60fps was awesome with the visuals at the time. and the sounds for the vehicles were spot on. i remember buying and firing up the scooby. sounded great!
 
Getting this right away when it comes out :D

Hot Pursuit 2 was the first one I played (and my favourite) and it just hasn't been the same IMO since Underground 2.

Edit: forgot about Most Wanted. Not been the same since that!

Yep i would say the same...hopefully this will be as good as most wanted...by far my favourite NFS game ever...nothing since then has come close.

its from a completely different developer now.

Its from Criterion who did burnout paradise

the only thing this game shares with any of its predecessors is the title. It should be awesome !
 
The thought of harrassing police with my mates online and running away from a 12 year old with a Veyron is reason enough for me to get this.

I've got fond memories of outrunning the cops in most wanted. This better live up to its expectations !
 
I really want to play a Need for Speed game. Cannot find anywhere on the high street that has MW/Carbon/Underground at a decent price, they all want like £15. Lol.
