*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

I played through WW with my daughter and she was totally entranced by it - plan to do the same, we'll play TP through together.

Never played the original so it'll all be brand new, tides us over nicely till the real deal turns up Xmas 16.

Arrived today;

Awesome quality and a lovely weight to it.

No, but let me ask you this - how can it possibly NOT come this year? Under what circumstances would that be acceptable?

Well it's throwing most NX rumors out the window. If it really is to be released soon, 2017 at a guess, then Zelda U will be the last game released on it. And their not going to release it a few months after. 6 at a minimum I'd say.

So either Zelda is coming on the NX, and no new Zelda game for the Wii U or the NX release is going to be more like 2018.

Or they will release it across both platforms like they did with Wii/Gamecube.

I promise you it will come out on Wii U, even if it's a Twilight Princess situation where the new version receives all the marketing and hype.

Nintendo have never backed out of a promise on a big game like this, they know how much bad publicity it would generate. No matter how late they've been delayed, or how bad the platform has been doing, big releases always came out on the platform they promised.

I remember when Twilight Princess came out, Gamecube had all but disappeared from the shops 6 months before, all of a sudden there was Zelda at the front of the shop, with cheap 2nd hand gamecubes next to it, selling them just to play the 1 game.

Managed to finally jump on and play TP yesterday.

Ohhh the feels are coming all flooding back. I loved this on wii. In fact...i think i preferred the Wii controls for it! :eek:

I'm not sure how skyward sword would work without Motion plus but i hope they bring that to the Wii U also.

Is TP worth playing on the Wii U? I have the rare gamecube version and gf has the Wii Version and was thinking to play it on the Gamecube just to show my respects to the original version, although to be fair i plugged the other day the wii option and omg the resolution was horrendous.

Just bought Bayonetta 2 from Shopto for £9.85 which I thought was a complete bargain! Also bought Super Smash and Mario maker this week as well good times!

I actually had to sell Smash Bros because it was taking over my life, online 1v1 - completely hooked, it was like digital crack.

I can genuinely never own that game ever again.

Bayo2 is bloody brilliant, still worth every penny of £25 imo so that's a corker of a deal.
