*** Official Nintendo Wii U thread ***

Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is getting cheaper, saw it in a game store for 19.99 new yesterday, getting somewhat tempting.

New Starfox game in less than 3 weeks, I'm excited!. I like the design and animation of this boss, looking forward to seeing what the later levels are like.
 
Ordered the first print edition of star fox can't wait for it, Just trying to get through the back log of games.doing wind waker at the moment loving it. My problem is I keep buying games for my wii u. Just bought yoshi's wooly world, got mario maker to get stuck into bayonetta 2 super smash and mario kart, just not enough time in the day lol. Me and my daughter both have ps4s and they don't get used we much prefer the wii u.

i was sick of shooters etc, so i bought the division gold edition haha
played it for 2 days got fed up and wanted some 'fun' games
so did i get a wii u for all those exclusives or buy the ps4 for the new R&C.

decided on the wii u and like you said found myself buying loads of games, got wind waker and star fox first print edition on order.
bought loads of amiibos... why? i dont even use them haha

I heard that Mario Tennis on WiiU is terrible, even from major Nintendo fanboys who played it. And considering Nintendo almost never lower prices of their games so soon after release... I'd be wary if I were you.

The new Starfox game seems okay, but a new article on the offical website mentioned the controls. It still forces players to play with the gamepad, no traditional controls. Thus I'm glad I didn't pre-order it, those controls might be the crack in the foundation. I'll wait till reviews. I really don't want to use the WiiU gamepad. Battery life on it is horrible, as opposed to the Pro controller which has godly battery life.
 
I want Mario Tennis as much for the collection as anything tbh, I heard it plays OK but is just basic and lacking any inspiration. I'd prob get a little fun out of it (note: I am tennis fan), but wouldn't invest loads of time. <£15 and maybe!.
 
Digital foundry took a look at Starfox Zero (http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2016-hands-on-with-star-fox-zero).
Much like the developer's earlier work on the excellent Bayonetta, it's essentially a 50-60fps range in performance

Would have liked a more solid frame rate but it seems good enough, and still better than being 30FPS.

Feedback on controls (and the second screen mechanic in general) has been generally very positive so far. 11 days...

Just checking my e-mails. Had one from GAME saying my order for Ratchet and clank will be delivered next week? I did not order Ratchet and clank I ordered the first print edition of Star fox zero! Checked my orders with GAME and no Ratchet and Clack only Star fox zero?? I've e-mailed them just waiting for a response. Could be another mess up by GAME here lads!!

GAME refuse to recognise my postcode, so just say they won't deliver to me at all. Twittered and emailed, nothing.

No special edition starfox for me! :/

Can you not pre-order in store? I thought you could with them. Probably pay a little more in store though, Game stores are a rip off tbh. I only ever go in for Steam wallets.
