**** Official Note Edge Thread! ****

I got an Edge yesterday and I really like it. I was thinking I'd keep touching the edge by mistake when using it but it's been fine so far :) the night clock is a nice feature as is the remote control.
 
Like the idea idea of this, but I am tight and paid £20.50 pcm for my htc one on release two years ago.

Contracts up soon, but this may be a stretch too much. Think I will wait on the M9 and go from there.

However the mrs keeps telling me my next device must be a note as I need a dialling wand....
 
How are the impressions of the Edge? First time I seen it was when I was in Atlanta, GA in November and it stood out as I was strolling through the mall.

The decision looked funky and when I had a quick play I really liked the new notification bar. I had only just brought my 6 so it was a little annoying.
 
So.....is Lollipop finally winding it's way down to the Note Edge? I just tried a cursory Software Update on my (unlocked, sim-free, UK) handset, expecting to be disappointed, and all of a sudden a 1052mb (:eek:) download started........30% done......nervous anticipation!
 
Just checked on my sim-free handset (I checked yesterday, and had nothing) and it is now saying "network error" when I check!! Grrr

I will keep checking till I get a proper response. It was imminent I was told from people at work!

I already have it on my work S4, and it seems to be working well on there :)

All downloaded and installed on my Edge now, must say that early impressions are very good. Everything seems so much slicker/quicker, and although I only have a few hours of use, the battery usage appears notably better....
 
Good stuff, not quite sure on all the 'features' Lollipop brings, but I am very impressed with how much more 'zippy' and responsive the phone feels in general. Really hoping for a battery life boost, as recently I have been struggling to get a regular day out of my Edge, without the need for a top-up.....
