I really should stop playing rated games when I'm half-asleep or in a rush as I'm doing it far too often. It's like an addiction, I just can't leave it be. :o

I've thrown almost every single game this week through over-sight. Frustration is a pretty apt word. I'm probably going to have to take a break for a few days. Too many games at once has made me play like a schoolboy.

The games I have left are all pretty much in a no-win situation too, so I'll get them out of the way (read: lose terribly) then take a break for a bit.

I think I'm getting frustrated because I know I'm not as 'bad' as I've been playing recently.

I've just resigned from some of the games as I'm just delaying the inevitable in them. Just lost the team-match game. What's annoying is, if it wasn't for my mistake earlier in forgetting to move one piece before the other, I'm sure I'd have won. Ah well!

Was quite pleased with this check mate (guy was higher rated than me as well) :o

He must have punched himself a few times in the head after that :o

Gillywibble I've just glanced at your profile - You're a far far braver man than I with that many games going at once!

I also play on Gameknot, and have 70 games on the go there. To be fair though, I play quickly on there so my rating averages around the 1800 mark (username quibit, if anyone's interested).

It's up to you how much effort you put in. If I'm busy, I just make a move. If it's a blunder, so what? If I have the time, I'll put loads of analysis in.

I don't play much OTB (which obviously requires much more concentration). My club keeps badgering me to rejoin the league, but I find it too stressful to be honest.

Unfortunately had to nip to work yesterday so won't get back to my games till tomorrow now as no sleep since Saturday. So apologies for anyone waiting for me to make a move ... don't trust myself to make sane ones at the moment. Going to my local chess club this week - will be interesting to see how I do there. Any tips on how to approach matches differently - or advice on how I play wrong from people who have played me (I know I trade material unnecessarily before everyone points that one out).
