****Official OcUK Fury X Review Thread****

So what is it really like with these cards? I've read some blabber on these forums about how the 390/390X are "vastly faster" than a 970, yet this supposedly flagship product is not that much more powerful than a 980 (to which an OC'd 970 comes pretty close)? Was it all just claptrap or am I missing something?

Sorry for asking stupid questions but I'm genuinely perplexed because I've seen reviews where the 970 edges out the 390x in quite a number of games:confused:

AMD have ended up with egg on their face.

Here we are years after the 290 cards hit and with HBM, AMD hit us with a card that is slower than Nvidia's second tier GPU and with less memory.

Less fury and more furry kitten.

Indeed the arrogance of them at that fury demo...amd are naff...:p

It's a joke tbh...a watercooler ain't enough...

Makes you (even more) concerned for Zen, now, doesn't it... Are AMD even capable of competing in any market these days?

ye^^;

im even scared to link tinytoms video
one of his big negatives was the card is too small 0_0
haha....made me laugh anyway

They did though. I dont really think Nivida intended to release a 980ti at the price they did, just a month or two after releasing the titan x and the 980ti is quicker. They were forced to by the fury x.

yes definitely, but AMD should have countered this by releasing the Fury X when there was no TX or Ti around to buy......the Fury X should have been in direct competition with the TX about 2 months ago..............what should have been released last week then ????............the Dual Card at only £800 :eek::eek:
