****Official OcUK Fury X Review Thread****

The reviews seem all over the place. Little consistency.

I look forward to reading the experiences of people in here.

Just finnished Tom's Hardware. TBH it look's better on there than the others. I think that's the only site that claims Fury is the equall of the 980ti.

My afternoon:-

Pops in to read Fury reviews.

Orders 980 Ti.

I wish my afternoon was like that. Unfortunately I bought my 980ti elsewhere in the morning, about 20minutes before OCUK put them all on sale.

My impatience has cost me a bag of haribo fangtastics

If AMD hadn't made us believe this would beat the Ti, I wouldn't be disappointed.
Problem is that it's difficult to swallow the idea of a 4GB card which performs best at 4k.
980Ti is also a great overclocker...

I do think it's a step in the right direction, but they're still behind.

There is no getting away from the numbers.

I thin Nvidia have AMD nailed on this last 28nm hurrah , Limited V-Ram, performance isn't there compared with Nvidia's top offering, too expensive for where its at.

Hopfully AMD will bounce back on 16nm.

Have some faith like I did.:)

My Fury Xs are on their way (thankyou OcUK).:)

Remember the Fury X packs 8.9 billion transistors on the core and once the drivers are sorted they will start punching their weight. The Titan X only packs 8.0 billion transistors, runs on air and uses old fashioned GDDR5, this is not over yet it is just the start.

Well Looks like my move from 1080p with a 290x gaming to a Philips 40" 4k monitor + a fury X is not going to happen. Will wait and if performance increases as drivers mature I will take the plunge but otherwise will wait for next round of cards.

Thanks now I can sleep like a dog tonight.:)

Yea NH said they had a few issues with their review and its all drivers atm.
while saying that AMD could have promoted the hype better than they did.
they really dosnt get their customer base and perception of this.

Look forward the 14 July for the next fury and then 29 july for win 10

We heard it hear first. Looking forward to seeing what you can do with them! :)

Doesn't really work that way kap, simple fact is if they don't have the card performing well at the launch reviews then thats all people are going to remember about it. Performance will increase with driver updates but that's no different from any card that's been launched from either camp in the past.

You were talking about first impressions a while back when you seen a fury x in a white oem box and how first impressions were so important. Well it applies here in spades because the performance isn't what people were expecting, and when its all said and done performance is what matters and it simply doesn't deliver enough.

Its like 2900xt, bulldozer and radeon 8500 all over again, looked great on paper but that's about it.

It can pack all the transistors it likes, if they are not efficient then it's game over as clearly seen.

I know I keep saying this but I really am having flashbacks of the HD2900 launch, unfortunately on that one I was an early adopter convinced drivers would sort it but they never did...

Best bet is to wait. Price drop and possible performance increase in the future make it a much better option but time will tell

LOL people have waited forever for these cards and they come out and people should wait even more.

AMD needs to get their stuff together. Pricing this where it is at makes no sense knowing they clearly need to win back the market

Well I guess this sort of clears up the confusion about the Nano.
Is it about the same performance as a 290X or is it 80% the performance of the Fury X? Turns out that's about the same thing...
