Definitely inconsistent, i know you don't get the exact same fps at the same res in every review, one review might have say 50fps for example, another might have 48fps, or slightly higher, but going from 3 slower in one, to over 10 in another

Seems to be getting beat consistently and by a fair margin, and I assume thats not with OCing the 980 Ti which is a bit of a overclocking monster.
I think its fair to say the Fury X was designed to compete and beat the 980, and Nvidia threw a spanner in the works just before Fury X release with the 980 Ti.
If we compare the GTX 980 to the Fury X the Fury X beats it consistently and convincingly and without the price drop to the 980 the Fury X would have been the go to card.

Look at the Ti reviews, its right up with the TX in all of them, in the same games, but the Fury, its right up with the Ti in only some reviews in the same games, where as in other reviews, in those same games, the Ti is absolutely demolishing it.

Going by some of the reviews, there was no need for them to release the Ti, so everyone saying they rushed it out because of Fury, was talking cobblers, as if the Ti wasn't released, everyone would have either just bought the 980, or the TX when Fury came out.
Another review from a german site, same one that had the video up of the card yesterday.

2560x1440 only, fury pulls ahead convincingly in bioshock, couple of fps ahead in crysis 3, same in crysis warhead, about on par with the 980 in grid autosport, neck a neck wiht the ti in metro last light, and same performance as the 980 in risen 3 and watchdogs. About on par with ti in farcry 4, same as 980 in project cars, inbetween 980 and ti in gta v, same performance as 980 in witcher 3, comes top in assassins creed unity and is between 980 and ti in dragons age. Just seems strange that in some games its giving the same performance as a ti yet in others it falls back to 980 levels.

Tbh, its pretty much what I expected it to be. Close to a standard Ti, cooler running. Maybe it will get better with new drivers. Voltage unlocking might help too, but tbh when it comes to benchmarks I think all comparisons should be at stock. Buthats just my opinion. Looking back at previous cards, you never see a big difference between the competing models from each vendor. A few fps at best depending on the game, aka which vendor pumped cash into the development of that game.

You do indeed, somethings up, has to be, just doesn't make sense.
It's just a poo card for the money and late to the table ... The fact it's not outright the winner makes it already dated tech ...

My comment about Matt is still more about me having issues with him rather than AMD itself. He stole £400 from the clan we were in to buy himself a new monitor before he became an AMD rep. He was and I guess still is a massive fanboy.
I have nothing against AMD and have used AMD for years, just dislike total fanboys.
Suppose we'll see tomorrow when user reviews pop up, for all amd's spiel i find it very hard to believe they've overlooked something, but after looking at the weird performance differences and review comparisons you'd think some sites were reviewing totally different cards or something.
Look ... Review sites will say anything to acquire free tech. On hardware so close it's east to manipulate the findings

May be easy to manipulate the findings but the results are literally all over the place, some saying its the amd ti equivalent, others saying its barely any faster than a 290x. Thats a pretty large performance spread to say the least. Roll on user reviews.
