I'll refrain from commenting more, but they get away with more then the average user.

No log block is a fantastic excuse. Robo essentially claimed a small bit of land within the dungeon and they turned up and grieffed him. Had that been the reverse or other members the punishment would have been much swifter.

These people aren't treated as "favourites", nor receive any special attention from the admins. I wasn't involved in the situation in question so I can't comment directly. I don't approve of what I *think* has happened but as I haven't had time to catch up with Maxi and discuss it with him I can't say any more.

If you feel so hard done by on the server you really don't have to play on it. Having patience and dealing with things in a mature manner will get far better results than coming out with accusations of the admins playing favourites - I can assure you, I don't, and the server for me is a massive time sink for a game I don't even play that much (read: at all any more). I only keep running it as I like helping out the OcUK community.

Are you just going to ignore my earlier post? I'll warn you then that next time I hear a snipey throw away comment about the admins like that I will issue a ban (from you or anyone else). The admins aren't people you can just insult/accuse with a throw away comment and then try to ignore.

I'm unaware of saying I made comments about the admins? I made comments about the members and the way they / we are treated, but I don't recall mentioning the admins.

You are insinuating that the admins are doing a bad job and playing favourites. You've done this several times before and I'm quite tired of it to be honest.

Just that certain members receive different treatment. I didn't mention admins at any point in those last posts. If I had a direct criticism of a particular admin, I know to keep it to myself. I don't think they should be above criticism. To ban people for making comments seems, I'll refrain.

Anyway, I'm happy to not comment on them in future.

You pop into discussions about happenings on the server and come out with accusations about the admins being unfair to players. No matter how much you try to wriggle out of it or change your words you are clearly stating that an admin (or admins) aren't doing their job properly. Of course admins should be subject to scrutiny and there is no reason that a player can't raise an issue. However, what you are doing is stirring up drama by making these throw away comments whenever there's a problem on the server. If you've got a serious problem with this then post something with logs/screenshots proving your point. If not, stop with the accusations as the admins deserve to be insulted constantly no more than any of the normal players.

Bukkit will be out when it is out - the same as every single time it has been released previously. You can find out for yourself by looking at the bukkit website. Adding random questions on about bukkit to make your posts look like something other than another snipe at the admins isn't really washing I'm afraid.

Yeah. That's perhaps a bit overkill in terms of how many time you can fit "linktart" into one server tab. I just added the description in at the last moment when I noticed it in the config tbh, so I'll fix it when we upgrade to the RB of bukkit.

Thanks, that's probably ideal, I only bought the game yesterday so I don't have much idea whats going on yet. Is there anything I need to know about MP other than the server rules before I start? I played SP for about 4 hours yesterday and have the basics.

Not really, aside from the usuals for playing any multiplayer game online.

And yet, if he cannot voice his opinion on what's happening, and the admins role in it, then what can he do to improve, or try and help the server? If you're saying "If you repeatedly disagree with admins decisions, or judgement then you get banned." then what is this other than a dictatorship that punishes people who speak out against it? Because, if you let people voice their opinions, you shall always get people who disagree with certain factions almost all the time, and people who are pragmatic.

Are you saying, french, that we are not allowed to voice opinions, biased or not, on people? Because if you'll start with Tummy, then surely you wouldn't hesitate to stop other people who you disagree with? Because that would go against the fact you said players can raise issues and put admins under scrutiny. And if wriggling out of it is having not seen a post, or a point made, then surely most of us, including you, have wriggled out of many things?
You are being melodramatic here, and most of all, quite hypocritical. If you can say that someone missing a post is wriggling out of their responsibility to reply to a subject they brought up, then surely if you miss a white list request, that can be seen as wriggling out of your responsibility to administrate the server? It's not fair to say either of those things, because people do -and have- slipped up often.

I know this may be seen as stirring trouble, it's not. I'm simply pointing out what I disagree with in your post, and what I view to be hypocritical comments.

Tummy has let the argument end so I don't see the point in discussing it further with someone else.

Have you guys had many issues with the test version of Bukkit?

Spout and LogBlock don't work, which is a fairly major show-stopper.

Bugs that players experience in game aren't quite so obvious though.

Just seen that the dev versions of spout work with 1.8..which means that logblock should work too.

If I get time this afternoon I'll try it out.

I won't wipe the 1.8 world instantly but if everything works fine I'll be wiping it. If all that goes well then access to the 'old' world will be restored later today or tomorrow too.

You were given a lot more than a few hours notice so your complaint is invalid. You were emailed details about the 1.8 world and the potential wipe when the world went live.

I explained why in my previous post. Moaning about something valid will lead to a polite reply. Suggesting that I've done something wrong when it's just that you failed to read communication doesn't really encourage me to be polite or have any patience with you.

I understand your frustration, but lets look forward to the official 1.8 world. Be aware though, that this too will be wiped once 1.9 is out. The time for big builds may have to wait until the full release .

I've finished copying backups/etc and configuring stuff so hopefully it will be up and running very soon.

I'll try to make it more obvious to people that it will be wiped once 1.9 hits. I guess in addition to the email and forum posts I'll add a news post to LinkTart. Hopefully that will get the message through.
