Just out of interest, who vouched for you?
They ought to be sent to live on a tiny island in the middle of nowhere with only a wooden pick and one piece of meat :p

There will be a general update quite soon regarding the site and some other server news. I'm currently very busy in work so it won't be right now though, unless maxi/yrth get time.
 
I thought it was 1 strike and you're gone when it comes to breaking the rules? :confused:

I'm sure it's been said here before recently... "no flying" "if you fly or break any of the rules you're gone"...

I'm sorry but I don't see why users who've been logged flying once or twice should be let off when in the same breath we're saying 2 guys caught flying have been banned?? Unless the server incorrectly logs a player as flying when it's perhaps lag??

I realise in the same post I quoted (Rules, Page 1) it also states Admin decisions are final but that just my 2 cents and I don't see the logic behind it.
 
Sometimes lagging can cause this yes, or if there's a map error and someone falls into 'oblivion' - or even when people jump off a massive height.

This is why sustained flying is used as a basis for judgement, not the odd one or two occurrences.

Heh, I wondered it somone would see it that way :p
Just curious really... If the logs can return false positives I'd like to know if we ever decide to start leaping from a tower into a 1 block puddle of water again :D
 
Generally repeated instances in the log would be the clincher. Of course, screen shot evidence might mean that the log evidence would need to be less strong.

That is how I get out of my Snow house every time; a jump to a small pool of water 25 blocks below. Can that be picked up as flying then?
 
The most common occurrence that the server will detect you are flying outside of actually doing it will be in The End where you can easily fall into the void. One the normal map this can only really occur when a chunk refuses to load and is much less common these days, can't say I've noticed it occur from a fall from height though.
