I hope that nobody even considers seriously banning children from playing on the server, I mean, we barely get children on the server and as far as I usually know they don't grief, and sure, they ask questions but so do adults and teenagers new to minecraft. They might pester - but didn't freddie pretty much stalk Zumii (that was hilarious btw) for a while? He wasn't banned to my knowledge, nor was his age group.

Age will never be used as a measure of maturity whilst the server is running on my hardware. However, I'm tempted to add a plugin that would allow players to /ignore other players so we can avoid this sort of situation in future.

edit: People being creepy is completely different to someone being young/immature. Generally in cases where I've become aware of this behaviour I have contacted the people on the receiving end to ask as to whether or not they have found it problematic. I haven't had the chance to contact Jessishere but if she has an issue with anything she is more than welcome to contact me or another admin.

I've asked the other admins about this and at the moment we will probably be sticking with things as they are. The situation is still under discussion, however.
 
Like I've already said, age isn't a good measure of maturity. No rules are going to be introduced to add additional rules/probation requirements for anyone under a certain age. People are all given a chance to prove themselves - if they mess that up we take action.

@Maxi - I'll look at Bukkit/etc this week as work should be less busy.
 
There are two steps to banning - banning from the server and banning from the group. Unfortunately they don't currently tie up automatically so admins have to remember to do things in both places.
 
It'll just be after I have lunch (in an hour).

Testing will be of new bukkit version, new plugins and the use of ramdisk on the server.

Possibly also client side mods if I can find all the stuff for it.

All current admins have WL and OP powers (on the server - it's not integrated with the linktart site).

toString has admin and OP for the period of testing and please feel free to WL and OP other people on this server. Not all plugins are properly configured yet but it'd be great if people could give the pvp arena a try and teleport around a lot to let me know if chunks load quicker. Also summon a load of items to fill up your inventories.

PLEASE NO TNT TESTING FOR NOW!

Is your ig name just "scrlk"? I've no problem whitelisting you for the testing and do appreciate the help. I can't comment on whether it'll have any bearing on access to the normal server though.
 
Lots of things that could potentially ruin the game will be taken out or made admin-only.

Tried to add the gold armour stuff but it's a bit of a nightmare due to requiring another permissions plugin. For now I've got rid.
