I can't wait to see what Minecraft will be like in a years time! With an official modding source, using official API and tools - It could be a very exciting time for Minecraft :D

i didnt know the details, but this sounds like a very good thing. i just wish they'd stop copying the ideas of some of the major mods, or at least make the official game version better than the mods

Yeah if it was up to me - I'd say "stop adding new things, and just build a really solid game, with a good API and modding tools", and just let the modding community go to work :D

It'd be nice if they ported the mods to official and gave credit to the authors rather than the "That's a good idea! *innocent whistle* Hey everyone, look at our awesome new feature!" that we're seeing here.

That'd be even better and is hopefully where their focus is but I think a lot of the more childish ones in the community would whine about the lack of content updates :/

how tos in game welcome msg's with basic instructions for new players
the how to bit would be like the vid i did for quarries
also they can be used to create in game rp or adventures

think of what us admins could do when runnning an event and all we have to do is use the books in game instead of having to put stuff on the forums :D

it is done diffrently from what i remember reading
it has a limit of about 50 pages i think all text currently no images
has a copy book ablity so you can make more then one
as it uses a writing desk i think.

there are limits but thay are workable ones.
