So will this test server be remaining? As In what happens to my build should I make changes?

Download the above and connect to the test server (you won't be able to connect to the live server with it).

A copy of the old world is enabled on the server so please test that and let me know how it goes. You can access this via the weird looking gold block portals I have placed.

Mo Creatures, Nether Ores and Hot Air Balloons are disabled on the server. They may come back if there is demand but at the moment they don't seem to add much to the server.

The server was recently restarted, but it doesn't look like it's working :(

if there isnt then you might be able to get the mod list + config files from FT and use MultiMC to get onto the server. you'd need to update things manually, but it should make things a little easier

Loving the new additions to minecraft since I last played. Just getting used to engines and pumps etc. Want to make a quarry but struggling to with materials at the moment.

ah sorry i dont have a mac system to build one but i though the normal MC client works on mac or pc?

the new launcher is just MC with all mods needed
manualy made by myself and FT for the server as
we want to step away from tekkit.

IF i can get the mac os working on my main system at home i will look to do the same.

REGARDS the question of the map. The live server world will just be moved to the new client when it is confirmed fully working. so any changes made on the test updated server wont be kept.

We would like for the comunity to test the launcher as we need to stress test the new server settings and make sure we dont have lag issues. If the comunity is happy with the new client that will be updated to match the server and works seperatly from Minecraft (meening it wont use your Vinalla MC)

Also note. you do NOT need to have the new launcher in the minecraft folder.
you just need to extract it and run the launcher from within the folder.

make sure to watch the videos posted on the linktart site regards quarries.
as they do have rules on how to manage them

Whilst I don't consider it griefing, breaking my motor block and then putting it back facing the wrong way is a little annoying, especially when it takes me a few minutes to notice that's why my setup isnt working. The marble brick block you left behind stood out like a sore thumb too. Let me know if you want it back! :p

In other news, my home computer still doesnt seem to like downloading files from the linktart site, so I'll download the new client when I'm at work on tuesday. Will the Tekkit server be copied over when the test system is approved? Or will the current test server just be carried on?

if you do a moving roof then you might want to check what the block limit is for a frame motor. i think its 5000 blocks but i couldnt be sure. it can be changed in the config settings though
 
All the previous render data was lost in the upgrade so it will take a while to fill in.

I'll do a fullrender command in a minute though it will only progress on that whilst nobody is online.
 
Bringing the server down and updating it to our new standalone client. Some change has been made to the live server that has caused it to die so I may as well do this rather than spend time figuring out the problem.

Disrespectful, we're talking about a mine with one entrance directly beneath my house, I don't pop to other peoples houses and remove ore that's visible, build cobblestone towers and leave the place in the dark :rolleyes:
