You could try updating Java. I think I lagged really badly at your home until I updated, unfortunately after updating I also started lagging really badly at my home.
 
As much as I hate to suggest it, but would a new world be such a bad idea? I know others hae put in plenty of hours getting everything going but so have I.

I will agree with aireguitar aswell, except for the odd issue with the tekkit launcher I never expierenced the same amount of issues as the new launcher. Not dissing yrths work in anyway, i know its not easy.

How do others feel?
 
I'm not sure a new world would go down well with everyone. If we were to even consider it though I think it would make sense to do it after everything is updated for 1.3.

As of Wednesday evening my holiday time ends so I will be able to devote some time to all this.
 
I don't understand the problems everyone is having. I have never once had a problem with the client build Yrth has put together and the only problem with the Tekkit Launcher was with its signing in process to Minecraft that was an in-built problem with their launcher.

I was hazard a guess that anyone having problems is probably their end rather than anything to do with the Linktart client build or Tekkit.

Lag is a different issue.
 
The issues are more to do with optifine as far as i can tell. optifine for some reason seems to cause lag at certain players builds, I find some nights it is fine other nights I am 3FPS in certain chunks. I removed optifine and gone was the lag but without it my client doesn't run all too well even in sp.

teething problems that I am sure we will get over

I personally haven't had any problems with either client. But if people wanted to start again to alleviate any problems, I am all for it!! :)
 
Server down at the moment.

Map wipe - I've never known a MC server to have so many "new worlds" as this server, what's the average now? about 4-5 months max? It's not as if there's a huge population using it and a huge amount of the map still has nobody living in it.
