*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

Server went down about 15 mins ago. Strange thing was that it was fine for about 45mins whilst I was on it on my own then someone else joined and it died straight away, within a few seconds of the *%%%$% has joined the server

Can't remember the chaps name something _CB, just wondering if it's certain locations causing it.
 
Yea i joined (Vessalius_CB) and appeared floating around in some black hole type thing, /home spawn etc wouldn't move me at all. Was playing on the server quite happily until later last night and i don't think anything has changed my end that would have crashed the server? got something along the lines of java..reset etc

EDIT: i will stay of the server for a day and if its fine i will just have to find somewhere else to play :) so if it goes down again can someone leave a message so i know if its me or not :)

Same message as me then mate, just seemed to happen so soon after your joined so perhaps it's related. Sounds like you didn't join completely if it kicked you before the world rendered.

I was building a large glass tower so it'd be interesting to see how much of that's lost, not annoyed at all but more to see if it saved after we were booted or if it completely died.
 
Restarted and deleted V_CB's player.dat file. I can see that there's some spamming about teleport pipes in the logs (I noticed this yesterday). I'll investigate it as soon as I can.

edit: I forced a restart as I assumed it was down. Sorry halfmad.

I'm not sure this means, can you clarify so i don't mess up again?
You mean the scrap thing? i disconnected most of it whilst i change it all, i can't get on at the moment but feel free to turn the other half it off and i will start it from scratch using the p2 pipes

It's possibly not anything that you've done - could be a bug in the plugins or something else. I wouldn't be surprised if a similar issue occurs when you enter the area again (let me know if it does and we can try and sort it).

I'm still on holiday atm so can't investigate properly. I'll try to look Wed evening.

It's crashed.

I had problems with it kicking me yesterday because of some item in my inventory, maybe there is something where you spawn which is doing the same... except its killing the server. :p
 
Yea, something to do with my house i reckon was fine at spawn soon as i /home it gibbed. Sorry about the problems people, i will stay away till FrenchTart is back to help sort things out.

Sounds like it could be my scrap making set up, what a pita.. will just have to wait for 5punk to go inspect/change things before i dare logg back in haha

Well if it kicks you/destroys the server when you go near I don't see how anybody can get near. What you've done essentially is created 1986 Chernobyl. :p
 
That doesn't sound good at all, its definitely nothing to do with my inventory as i don't have any, must have all been deleted with my bat file (even my quantum set :') )

Will have to wall the whole area up and put do not enter signs :p

Okay....I'll delete your .dat file (clears your inventory) and restart the server.

For now please stay away from your home. I will probably have to nuke the area at some point when I get time.

Damn, that sucks haha. Going to quite literally be a Chernobyl !

I think i'm just going to play offline mode until it gets sorted, don't want to risk it. I'm not sure how active they are but there is two house reasonable close to mine, i don't think they would load my house but it might be worth dropping them a message not to explore just in case. Can't remember the names.
