Yup just pop over to my house and go down a level mate, it's not usually on as I've got two switched, one warms the machines up, the other sends the contents of the chest.

Timed it, one inventories worth is about 15mins, recharge tools, back down and mining whilst it does its thing.

That looks amazing halfmad blimey this game does inspire some dedication and creative skills :)

Last night was my first night so i very warily set foot in the world around 1am, in the space of 10minutes i had been killed by what looked like a pixelated Beavis & Butthead, drowned, went 52m below ground found my first lava flow and a patch of gold ... liking it a lot :D
 
Tekkit has really brought it to life again for me, so many possibilities now although i'm not a huge fan of quarries - prefer using a mining laser and drill (and chainsaw for fun fights). If you're looking for a spot there's tons of space NW of my house Toxic. My neighbours are:

North east - AVCC
SW and south - Scotsmoose and his mate
South east - nobody as its probably the world border (I'm in the SE corner of the map)

North West has some ace areas, it's where I explore for wood, well did before I build Durex Forest inside my house :P
 
Mighty neighbourly of you Halfmad i will be making the effort to explore a bit more today, is there a way i can see a map of who are my neighbours and the borders of my area?

The dynamic map is broken at the moment but I'm sure the admins will manage to fix it at some point!

Sunlit - the speed that enderchest fills up is insane!
 
There's nothing in the server rules about them being banned on the website.
Why would I watch a video about quarries if I have no intention of ever using them?

I've been using BC pipes since I started playing again over a month ago, I've had admins in my house yet nobody has ever said anything and I've yet to see any evidence of the ones I have causing lag.

If that's the case feel free to remove them yourself as I won't be doing it when mine are OFF a vast majority of the time. It's seems rather daft to ban them when plenty of other people have far, far more intensive setups which do almost nothing productive except stroke an ego.

If you want to remove them feel free, as an admin that's your right. It'll be one less player on the server though and frankly LT needs all the players it can get. Nobody has complained of lag since I completed this setup about 24 hours ago and I've used it half a dozen times since even with other players in the room watching.

From what I've read BC pipes can cause client FPS lag, I've nothing reliable that proves it's server side though.

Calm down dude, getting grumpy won't solve anything. :p

I've always assumed that the BC pipe ban was for quarries, cobble generators and other instances where it's inability to deal with full containers would be an issue. So you're not the only one. But then I've never used them at all anyway!
 
Not grumpy at all misterPK, I've always said MC the fun is building the thing and proving you can do it. I've done the most fun part :)

I'm an admin on a very large MC server, I'm actually more active on Linktart oddly enough - I think it's just the fact that I get peace and quiet to de-stress and have a laugh though! However you do have to be clear about the rules and stick to them, so if BC pipes are banned fair enough, I'll donate my items to Sunlitsix and AVCC and call it a day.

Tekkit is what's keeping me on Linktart and as I've no interest in using a quarry, got my fancy armour there isn't much else for me to do other than play with BC pipes, red alloy and continually build power generators :P Heck I refined oil just to see how to do it, never actually used the fuel though :D
 
Buildcraft pipes are not allowed to be used IF stretching more than a 2 x 2 chunk area.

From the quarry rules. As far as i'm aware my BC pipes are confined so should be ok.

FT I'm not stressed mate, I'd like to get a video of it working before it was removed though, looks nice :D
