*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

Question, do we have logistic pipes installed on this server?? Can't see it on the list but don't know if it's included with buildcraft??

since the official logistics pipes is SSP only i'd guess that it isnt on there. i;ve heard that someone did a straight port of logistics pipes to SMP and it was quite successful though

Ah ok, thanks. Was just watching direwolfs lets play and he is covering it :)

they are absolutely amazing when you get a big network of them, especially since they work with teleport pipes and incredibly well with auto crafting tables. i just wish there was a module that did the same job as the supplier pipe

can anyone think of a good way to farm blazes quickly? also, does anyone know how big a box i will need to contain them around the spawner i found? i need millions and billions of blaze powder for high speed rails but i'm really struggling to get enough without doing the EE cheat with them.

if there was a way to farm cinderpearls then that would suit me down to the ground but as far as i know there isnt

one idea i've got is finding more spawners and using frames to move them to the same area but this seems ridiculous

I've just rebooted the dedi. I think the issue with the server is php somehow pwning the entire CPU. Hopefully I can fix that immediately as I'm going out to a bbq soon.

Think I've got it working but I can't test it properly just now. I've left it running. Please let me know if it works for you and I'll try to check up on things later.

Good to see the ability to connect is back ...... but i am still getting the same error. Have tried a few t'internet suggestions any ideas peeps as i really want to try the multiplayer :)

So, you've downloaded the launcher from the linktart website? Have you told it to update at all? At the moment you should say "no" when it asks you. If you've already done this just download the launcher again and from now on say no when it asks you to update.

Thank you muchly FrenchTart, it has been driving me quackers for 2 days but the no update works fine just managed to log into multiplayer for the first time brill!!!!
Cheers :D

if you're wondering why not updating solved things its because the mods that the launcher uses are for minecraft 1.2.5 and the update was to update minecraft from 1.2.5 to 1.3.x.

Still getting major lag when I enter an area in front of my house. I did have a quarry that had water in near but that has been sorted now so it can't be that causing it. I have no idea what else it could be but it's really annoying :(

Any idea's anyone??

EDIT: it may be something to do with illusionzxt's area.

The webchat is broke again.

As for this quarry business, as soon as I flew near it my MC client was rendered useless. RAM usage went through the roof before I even got a chance to see the actual quarries.

Just updated WorldEdit so it now works with mod blocks. This will mean we can sort out a lot more of the issues with loss of player buildings/etc a lot easier.

I will carry on working on the issues we're currently having.

Just to throw this out there we are currently considering a new world (again, sigh) to try and avoid some of the further issues. Player builds would be copied across in such a case obviously. We'd probably copy from the current old world too so we can just avoid having it.

(All to be discussed but I'm currently thinking a rough limit of one big build per player + one small house to house all their materials). We'll be flexible about this as we want to inconvenience players as little as possible.

I'm also thinking about Forrestry and the like. I guess we should really wait for 1.3 to be supported by most of the mods though.
