Are you sure you're only running your CPU at 3.85Mhz? Must be super slow in games
It's all about the IPC ^^
It would have to be pretty insane IPC to make up for the processor only running at 3.85mhz.

its just looking like it will be an explorers dream, some of the ravines are just huge and will be epic to explore.
Not too sure about the abandoned mines, seems like we wont be short of rail pieces or wood thats for sure.

1.8 is good but I have yet to find a npc village, can you find them in creative mode? Is anyone having any issues installing it? If so post your problem here and I will try to help

nope, i've not found any village in the 4 worlds ive created, both creative and survival.

"rumours" were early next week, but now this has been "leaked" I could guess later.
Depends on how long they take to fix the bugs found in the leaked ver and then check it after that is done. So looking at late next week now I think.
I'm suffering from the furnace glitch, in that it crashes each time I use it and lose all the coal I'm holding
. If I re-open the game however, my stuff is still being cooked but no coal powering it and an endless flame .

That's a quite sensible guess. I'd guess that there would be a working 1.8 release within ~10 days of the "leak"
It's a good chance for Mojang to buy themselves some time to be honest, I'm continually impressed by their "lack" of work they manage to do on this.

I haven't been on the server in ages, but I vote for a complete wipe. Would be cool to all start again on the first night trying to find shelter.
I know people would lose their builds, but isn't the fun the building? Once I finish builds the fun's finished for me. Take some screenshots or a video if you want and move on.
