*** Official OcUK Minecraft Server - Discussion and Rules ***

The only issue I can see with that is that people will probably be less likely to really get stuck in and make stuff until 2.0 which could be some time away. I'm certainly not likely to start any serious building or searching for mats until I know that there is either going to be some sort of mats transfer allowed or I know the world is going to be around for more than just a couple of months at best.

This will spoil the whole community feel to the server if no-one is doing anything long term or worthwhile for a some time.
Yeah sure I would agree with that, infact I haven't been playing much at all for the last couple of months; I've been waiting for the new content, so I too have not felt like making much in the mean time.

I don't think he's against a wipe, he's just saying he feels like he doesn't want to play on the new map knowing stuff will be wiped after a month or so. I think...

Also:

jeb_ Jens Bergensten
Got a lot of work done today, but not enough for release! And my crash bug disappeared when I successfully installed 64bit java...

Fix list today, apparently:
* SSP chunk memory leak
* Mineshaft density (half now)
* Increased stronghold count to 3 per map instead of one
* Furnace tile entity crash
* Crafting bench ghost items
* Vines (and leaves) crash in nether
* Use item animation in SMP (blocking and eating)
* Blocking in SMP
* Sprinting with right-click or sneaking
* Added some blocks to creative mode
* Fixed dropping items
* Nothing can be eaten in creative mode
* Enderman client-side problems
* Chicken and cow drop burned food
* Squids drop exp
* 1.7 worlds should get structures
* Farmlands rejecting melon and pumpkin seeds
* Bonemeal on melons and pumpkins
* Bonemeal on mushroom only works on dirt or grass
* Added item drops for cracked and mossy smooth stone brick
* Adjusted fog strength at low positions

Do you think maybe they have compiled it and changed the link? :p

EDIT: Just checked and it's the exact same size so I'm guessing not.

Nah jeb said tomoz likely to be done.

BTW 3 more my textures done

left to right

New Mossy Cobble
Mossy stone bricks want to make a slight change to the mossy stone bricks but making progress :)
Stone bricks

Stone brick has been changed slightly now = more seamless in center when blocks connect. Removed the patch of moss that was on the mossy stone brick stands out to much.

Sorry to not do the digging myself, but how does one participate in the 1.8 fun you guys seem to be having? I'd stopped playing 1.7 as i got bored, waiting for 1.8 to start playing again, wouldnt mind joining in some prerelease enjoyment though....

Endermen are bugged in multiplayer it seems, but if it was client side it means that was fixed.

Imo, endermen are just so weak it's stupid. They should hit like a truck, 6 hits with dim sword to kill, able to teleport behind you etc. But I'd have it so they only spawn in abandoned mines/strongholds in the dark, and shy away from light, and gold swords/fire do a ton of damage to them. 2 hits with a gold sword = death for them. A use for gold swords. Along with staring at them for too long = distortion on the screen and heavy breathing heard from Steve. And perhaps if you stare at them for 30+ secs, then your screen turns into extremely close fog, like, 5 metres you can see then fog, and you phase into a sort of dream world and your being hunted by the enderman in a randomly generated pine forest, and if you travel far enough you can escape, or you can kill the enderman (which if my idea of them being op were added) which would be harder, but gets you out quicker. I think this would be pretty kool and would add a more dangerous aspect to them. However, once you escape and if you didn't kill it, then you would be back to staring at it, however it would start to shuffle towards you but you cannot transition back into the dream world for another day in minecraft time.

I think that would be a nice idea. :P
