tbh, this IS A beta. people seem to forget that.
if it had been a finished product I could understand!

BUT a BIG but here :p Bukkit is essential to Minecraft MP so Notch owes them a hell of a lot as I doubt with Hey0 (I think that was the name of the old one) or Bukkit Minecraft wouldn't of had half the pulling power they currently have.

So saying that I think Notch has pushed out a rushed release putting Bukkit on the back foot, we don't have all the info so maybe Bukkit have just been idling with the pre-release waiting for the final before they start work.

yeah unless notch actually gets mp working properly with some basic features it's just silly for him to ignore the bukkit team, after all if it weren't for them and the old hey0 lot making mp playable i doubt he'd have anywhere near the sales.
 
I was hoping it was a hint at storms causing flooding :(

would be cool would mean lighting would need to be raised off the floor/protected instead of just torches everywhere.

I haven't forgotten the whole beta end of things however when MC is concerned, the BETA 'tag' has been dragged out longer than the latest series of Torchwood.

Notch's rushed release has essentially caught the bukkit dev's off-guard and as a result a ton of servers are running 1.7 whilst their players are on 1.8. Then again, Notch has pretty much confirmed his love for the SP side of the game rather than MP many times.

So the main issue seems to be a door glitch at the moment. I'm going to get a few things done around the house (day off work, woo) then I'll see what I can do to get things running.
 
Just realised that there might be a bit of a problem with the nether. I suspect it'll just be accessible from the main (new) world rather than the old.

Does anyone care?
 
Does anybody have the same problem as me where the creeps spawn inside an empty npc house whilst you are in your own bed?
