Edit: would love to know who's build is the circle out side of spawn (bottom left of the image) and the island (top rightish of the image)
 
Mine is the brown square in the sea. Just have to add another layer of dirt and sand around the edge for my minecraft style square island :D

Question is, who's is that area in the bottom left of the pic that is a huuuuuuge marked off square!
 
toString, that's DanM's area.

Now that my spawn house is pretty much done, I feel a hankering coming on to make some big tombs and catacombs. Will have to consult the cartos to find an area, but I'd love to find a 'cleft' in a big stone cliff. Would anyone be able to help me with redstone doors etc if I need it? (I really do need to learn some more advanced stuff with regards to that)

The big circle belongs to Nickslash.

I dont think that is Sharpy's build, that's out on snow somewhere...

Shame there isn't a pushpin feature so we can add notes on who is where and what is what :)

the bmr dynamic map plugin allowed this but it didn't work too well sadly. ill try to retest it sometime.

I'm at a conference atm so my responses will be slow at best. apologies to anyone that is waiting on me.

I don't think players should be trying to claim land for 1.7 builds yet. You guys and gals should wait until we announce when they are going to be moved, this frees up the "prime" spots for new builds.
 
Any ideas on when the portal to 1.7 will be open? And also any idea when moves might take place?

I don't really care but I think it might help a lot of other people to get a rough guess. Some are saying this month..

it is likely that it will happen before the end if the year

edit: build moves will come much later. 1.7 access will either be in time for Xmas or new year, depending on admin time.

I was looking for a nice space near the spawn but because of work commitments I was unable to 'grab' a good spot during the first couple of days.

I need a lot of space because my build is huge, sadly I cannot find anywhere near the spawn or away from the spawn as I need water, sand and some land.

I can see I am annoying people by trying to lay some land to place my build, so feel free to remove my build as quite frankly I have had enough.

Here is a cartograph of the current playable area in the Linktart world prior to anything being built, the map is coloured according to the biomes present and will aid navigation around the world when out in distant locations.

For those of you who make use of the coordinates (press F3) the current spawn location (x:-141, z:805) acts as the centre so the current world limits (7000 square) are derived from that. The actual boundaries of the world are x:-3641 to +3358, z: -2694 to +4304. This should help you determine just how close you are to the edge of the world.

Maxi has kindly added this to the Linktart page with the current build cartograph.

Fair enough, I am making a huge wall tho and should be far enough away that this isnt considered "prime", I almost went to grab a plot right near spawn but thought that would have been mean ;)

awaits multiple posts with red circles stating "I claim this land in the name of ......"

One thing I did notice thou... there doesn't seem to be any mushroom biomes?? I may have just missed them but I know there were a couple out past the border before it was set in place
