just looked at the clock and ive been playing since 10am this morning straight :eek: After level 12 or so the levelling seems to slow down a bit, as ive only managed to get to 19 so far.
 
The zone-wide invasion this afternoon was easily the best MMO experience I've had. It was amazing.

It was like the entire zone was a one big raid instance and everyone was in one massive group. When all the rifts opened up on the map, I found a group of a dozen or so players and we started moving from rift to rift fighting back the invasion. After about 10 mins the group was probably well over 100 players. We started moving up the map and just taking on everything in our path. Huge bosses, dozens of high level elites. It was truely epic. We eventually broke through some kind of gate and met the final encounter. Two huge golems and a load of other elites. The whole thing was scripted so you felt like you were having an impact in the overall story.

This is what MMOs should be like. ;)

It was incredible wasn't it. My group of 40 odd players were trying to take down 1 rift boss for 5 minutes because he had 700,000 health. Then we move up a little further after we got him down and discovered 2 200,000 health rift bosses along with loads and loads of mobs ... the whole invasion was simply an incredible experience earlier today, proper good fun with moments where I said "omg" out loud. :D

It's just brilliant fun with plenty to do.

On our server all the healers must have been sleeping, most rifts are a miserable failure and as a tank when you don't want aggro? Nope sorry your talent makes you take 20% more threat so you can't avoid it. :(

But it's getting better today, lots more on.
 
Considering making a purchase on release day (no point getting it before as away with work).

Is it going to be reasonably playable with 4gb Ram, 2.4ghz Q6600 and a 4870?
 
Decided to buy the game afterall, signed up for the guild, don't know if my preffered name will be available

Hopefully the game will be downloaded over night, see you guys in game tomorrow :D
 
Rolled on the RP-PVE (Argent) server yesterday, although I dont RP. It's quite nice to play and there has been loads of rifts, invasions (due to scaling with the crap ton of player in zone) which are quite fun. Not gonna make too much of a judgement but its quite good at the moment, and a smooth launch. I doubt I'll play past the free 30 days but I generally dont anyway these days with mmo's. Just treat em like giant single player games with a chat channel :)

Runs really smooth maxed out all settings on xfire 6950's at 1900x1200 even in massive rift encounters.
 
Only just heard of this game and have now preordered. Hopefully I'll get on the head start. When does the head start start? I shall read through all things Rift but right no I am busy and shall rely on the wise sages of OcUK for this info.

Also I am up for joining the OcUK clan. I need an MMO. Haven't been playing one for a few months, longest in best part of a decade, and I need an MMO fix ;)
