Whitelist Policy
Before asking for access on here, please ensure you have completed the following steps:
1. Create a COMPLETELY NEW character with NO items or hearts/mana aside from those you start with. Please be aware that spaces in character names are NOT allowed (plugin limitation).
2. Post a request in this thread, including your character name.
3. When an admin is online he or she will log in to the server and whitelist your character name.
4. When you first log on to the server you MUST either join a party with an admin to show that you are a new character OR take a screenshot of your character with your inventory open and with other players on the server speaking. Post the screenshot here when you have done this.
Character Policy
Please be aware that characters on this server:
1. Must not be played in single player or other servers.
2. Must not have an edited inventory/stats/etc.
3. The server runs a plugin that monitors the inventory so any changes will result in you being automatically banned from the server without any interaction from admins.
4. IMPORTANT! The inventory monitoring plugin has a slight bug where your character will be incorrectly banned. To avoid this you must not log out of the server whilst your character is picking up items. To be safe you should return to spawn and wait for 10 seconds before exiting. If this happens to you, contact an admin, though we will need to investigate each occurence thoroughly before we let you back on.
Server Rules
The long server rules list can be summed up with:
Be considerate to other players in both your building and your speaking.
1. This server operates a whitelist policy. To be placed on the whitelist you have to have been a member of OcUK forums for a reasonable amount of time (reasonable being at an admin's discretion) OR be a friend of an existing player who can vouch for you. Please post your Terraria character name and the OcUK name of your sponsor (if applicable) in the thread and you'll be added when possible.
2. Players are expected to use COMMON SENSE when playing! This includes not building right next to somebody's building without asking, building something massive and dwarfing someone else's building without asking or generally annoying other players. Admin decisions are final in these matters.
3. Dynamite is NOT allowed.
4. If players are found to be griefing (intentionally damaging other players property) then a permanent ban will be handed out.
5. To Reserve a space of land, place a sign and clearly mark the extents of the area you require and the date you claimed it. Again, common sense applies with regards to what you are building and where in relation to other players. If you are planning a big build, discuss this with other players on the server before commencing work!
6. Sky bridges and single block towers of dirt are not allowed.
7. Building in the spawn area should be discussed with players and admins on the server in advance of any actual building work.
8. No hacking allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, item duping and intentionally crashing the server.
9. If community mining/exploring all goods should be shared equally between players involved unless a direct agreement with those players is in place at the start.
10. It is suggested that players try and build below ground simply to keep it out of the way. If you are going to build above ground they need to add a tunnel underneath that does not interfere with Hermes Boots. Nothing you are building should require a jump of above 6 blocks, the regular jump height without Cloud/Rocket/Balloon.
11. HOMOPHOBIC/RACIST/SEXIST COMMENTS ARE NOT WELCOME ON THE SERVER. WHAT MAY BE HARMLESS BANTER TO YOU MAY WELL NOT BE FOR OTHER PLAYERS. PLAYERS BREAKING THIS RULE WILL BE SUSPENDED IN THE FIRST INSTANCE AND BANNED ON THE SECOND. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
12. ADMIN DECISIONS ARE FINAL - IF PLAYERS BREAK THESE RULES THEN SUSPENSIONS/BANS WILL BE HANDED OUT AS REQUIRED!

Where can I build?
Do not build too close to spawn. The main spawn area is for a communal NPC house only so beyond building that, there should be a good gap between any constructions and the spawn point.
